Gotta get this out of my system. Muahahahaha. Okay, all done. So I was sick last week, which slowed me down a little, but not too much. Instead of the kids getting me sick, I got them sick this time. Not that I'm really happy that they're sick, but a dad has gotta appreciate the irony. The worst part about them and momma being sick is the dad-doesn't-get-to-sleep law. Being exhausted the last few days is worse being sick myself.
Chapters
I'm sitting on the rest of the chapter until I get rid of the brain fog. I've tightened up my diet and exercise, so I'll probably have it out tomorrow even if I don't sleep tonight. Should get a nap later this afternoon. Hopefully, the next chapter will come with it. The issue with what I have is with the character's motivation. It's all over the place, or missing entirely in places. The rest of it is easy. Before I post it, I want to have it where I want it.
So that's what's up. Sorry for cliffhangering you guys. That's an interesting word.

Nice. That's the kind of focus I aim for with my writing. I've seen writing with speed as the goal hinder too many writing careers. It's great for the sells of a series, but it leads to burn out, and also writing just to get words on a page. I focus on quality. Not technical writing necessarily, though that has improved as well, but storytelling. The last three books I've published are my best rated ones. I hope to keep improve for the next thirty years or so.

2023-04-12 17:03:32 +0000 UTCI hope your kids get well soon.. here’s the thing: I’ve been through Underworld for the 10th time, to the extent that I’m worried that I’ll be very picky when the next books come (as in plural) because I became more familiar with the characters & their trajectories to an unhealthy extent!! Long story short: I love heavens laws, but can’t wait to get to the Underworld.. keep it amazing 🙏🏾
