So much excellent content. thanks from South Africa.

Hello there

Heeello hello

Elliot: So Paul you’ve been watching aloooot of tape on the player, what do you think of what he brings to us? Paul: So I watched three matches Thought this was pretty funny in the moment 😂

I have this idea of an easy way to explain how to pronounce Ødegaard, but I’m sure it’s gonna fail because my English is terrible😂Try to pronounce the «Ø» like you would pronounce the “u” in the word “Burn” with an American accent. And the «Å» or «aa» (Its the same) like you would pronounce the “o” in the word “lord”. I think that maybe isn’t so bad😬

No worries

Ah my bad. I was backed up against a work thing when I was editing and maybe missed an edit point. Sorry!

Sure you mentioned a discount code

😂

Really?!

Ads in the Patreon pod 🙁

Theres a Swede in the arsenal academy named Nikolaj Möller & btw dont worry! Contrary to Pauls timeline, Scandis do not get hung up on this stuff; yall called Fredrik Ljungberg Freddie LUNGberg for decades :D

Hi guys!! Tremendous appreciation for the weekly content! As a Swede; id say Paul was pretty straight on: we have 3 ’characters’ for the scandi sounds (öäå). The ö is similar to the o in Odegaard, whereas the å sound is shown in Norwegian as aa. So his swedified name is Martin Ödegård (roughly ’desolate land’). The Ö is pronouned with a thunderous viking ”Euuh” and the å a soft ”oh”. Fun fact: Turkey borrowed the swedish alphabet when converting from arabic script due to its similar sound; so Martin and Mesut could in fact share the MÖ10 moniker ;)
