Unit Profile: Commando Class

The Commando is a specialized infantry class designed for deep infiltration, sabotage, and high-value target elimination behind enemy lines. Lightly armored but heavily trained, Commandos rely on stealth, speed, and brutal efficiency to complete missions most soldiers wouldn't survive. Unlike Scouts or Shocktroopers, Commandos are not meant to hold ground or engage in prolonged firefights. Instead, they excel at navigating treacherous terrain, slipping past enemy patrols, and eliminating threats silently or with swift, overwhelming violence. Their standard loadout typically includes suppressed and modified assault rifles, combat knives, and a small kit of demolition charges or sabotage tools. The Commando class is further distinguished by its ability to bypass enemy overwatch zones and regain AP after performing lethal actions.

--Commandos have the following powers:

Ghost Movement:  Commandos only need to crouch to become invisible to enemies.  Enemies walking close to a Commando in tall grass do not reveal them.

Sabotage:  If a Commando can approach the radiator side of a tank or wall of a building they can destroy it using an explosive.  Vehicles or buildings destroyed this way increase the chance of negative potentials activating in nearby units.

Assassinate:  If a Commando is able to approach an enemy infantry unit from behind, they can perform a melee kill on that enemy.  Enemies killed this way increase the chance of negative potentials activating in nearby units.

Costly Operation:  Selecting a Commando costs 3 CP.

--Commandos can learn the following potentials:

Infiltration:  On leaving tall grass, the Commando may retain their invisible status until the end of their turn.  Using the Sabotage or Assassinate powers do not remove invisible status.  Ending the turn in tall grass retains the invisible status. Gained at Level 5.

Takedown:  When killing an enemy infantry unit or destroying a building or vehicle, there is a chance that the Commando's AP will be partially refunded.  Gained at Level 9.

Overwatch:  When another friendly unit counterattacks, if the Commando is near them, the Commando also counterattacks.  Gained at Level 16.

Lord (or Lady) of War:  When a Commando performs a takedown or kills an enemy, there is a chance that they may have their attack refunded.  This effect can trigger multiple times.  Gained at Level 20.

--Commandos give the following Orders:

Reposition:  Select a Commando unit, and select a patch of tall grass on the map within their movement distance.  The commando moves to that position instantly.  Learned at Level 4.

Cost:  2 CP

Forward Recon:  For the remainder of the turn, all positions of enemy units are revealed on the map.  Learned at Level 12.

Cost:  3 CP

Demoralize:  Reduce the AP of a selected Enemy unit by 75%.  The enemy unit loses their attack.  Cannot target Boss enemies.  Learned at Level 18.

Cost:  2 CP

--The Commando ranks up at Level 14.  Upon Rankup, the Commando Elite gains increased AP and Movement, and receives the Gallian StG-45 L&K Special.  This weapon can enter Sniper mode for more precise shooting.  Damage, Range and Shots Fired increase.
