Apocalypse Tamer Bestiary: Autopsy Gremlin (Patron-sponsored)
Added 2022-07-11 16:43:36 +0000 UTC

Passive Perks:
- Knife Fighting II: gains advanced proficiency with knife and dagger weapons (x2 damage, +10% critical). This also applies to scalpels.
- Heartseeker: an autopsy gremlin’s attacks have a higher chance of targeting organs. Their critical hits inflict x3 damage instead of x2.
- Self-Taught Surgeon: Autopsy Gremlins have self-taught knowledge of healing and surgery. They can try to perform surgery and implant body modifications without the need of a recipe or training. However, any failure is considered a critical fail with disastrous consequences.
- Humanbane: attacks with bladed weapons count as [Manslayer] damage, which is supereffective against [Humanoids] (x3 damage).
Active Perks:
- Preserve Organ: 10 SP. An Autopsy Gremlins examining a fresh corpse can try to harvest organs on a successful Skill Check and preserve them in a bag of ice. The higher the check result, the higher the number of organs harvested.
- Gremlin Surgery: 10 SP. Tries to operate a fellow creature with organs (the Perk will automatically fail otherwise). The ‘patient’ recovers a number of HP equal to the Gremlin’s SKI+INT, but has a 10% chance of suffering from the [Disease] ailment.
- Ice Scalpel: Dagger/Knife Technique, 30 SP. An Autopsy Gremlin can charge a dagger, knife or scalpel with the power of ice. The strike will inflict nasty medium Frost Damage (65 base power) with a 30% bonus to its chances of inflicting a critical hit.
Hidden Modifier:
- Small: as a small creature, the Autopsy Gremlin gains only half as much HP from physical stats. They also suffer a penalty to STR/VIT, but also receive a bonus to SKI/AGI.
Description: goblins are curious creatures by nature, and Autopsy Gremlins are what happen when they become obsessed with the quivering song of organs. Where gremlins tinker with machinery, Autopsy Gremlins tinker with bodies; the colder the better. Although their passion far outweighs their talent, they can make for decent field surgeons. Autopsy Gremlins usually live solitary lives in cold climates, but often team-up with other children of mad science (such as Igors and Frankensteins) and necromancers to pursue their shared passion.
Although frail, Autopsy Gremlins are lethal with bladed weapons and especially effective against fellow humanoids. ‘Disembowel ‘em before they can hit you back’ is their key strategy. They usually carry scalpels and saws to operate on their patients, dead or alive.
