I didn't get a good look at the magazine, and I don't remember how the one she was in looked like or what magazine publisher she's involved with, but if it /was/ the one she was in, it does make sense why he would go out of his way to use a magazine for either 'those purposes' or just wanting to see her pictures. Since they have her on it. If it's not the one with her on it, then yeah, it's pretty strange.

I watched a review on this show once, and the woman reviewing it said that it was one of the worst anime that came out in 2023 because it was about a deeply troubled, almost psychotic kid getting shoehorned into a cutesy romcom. I straight up said, “Girl! Did you even watch more than the first episode of this?! How have you been watching anime for most of your life and can’t recognize a slightly severe case of chunnibyou?! Why is therapy your first reaction to this?!” Sorry about going off like that. That had been stewing in the back of my head for a while, and something about your comment set it off.
