A Buck to the Face - The Cart Before The Ponies

If you're just going to be a music major than you especially need to make sure that you're versatile in many skills. You'll find a way to link them all back to your passion if you're creative enough. Also having a lot of knowledge on a subject won't always save you. Take it from the voice of experience.

Not a lot of people liked this episode. I can see why. The older sisters definitely got way out of hand in a way that we don't often see them get. In some cases for the first time. It was definitely frustrating to watch Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity act like that. But it made a little more sense to me. I've seen all kinds of people have moments like this. And it seemed to represent the different ways people in teaching positions can appropriate a charge's experience for themselves. I must say that I've seen parents do it more often than anyone else though.

Does anyone else think it would have been interesting to see the parental figures in this episode instead? To me, it might have made it a little more realistic. I could totally picture Granny Smith going off the handles about tradition. I have no way of backing this up but for some reason, Sweetie Belle's parents strike me as the type that might get competitive under such circumstances. And I'd just like to see Scootaloo's parents for goodness' sake. I'm getting sick of the orphan jokes.
