I see his view on this as being pretty similar to karstahl. difference being that having the 86 end up sacrificing themselves for the mission would be the trigger for despair, while karstahl has already lost all hope for san magnolia. I can't see ernst actively trying to bring around the world's end if this happens, but become just like karstahl, not bothering to stop humanity's march to their own doom.

2024-02-21 09:57:36 +0000 UTCfun fact again: ground effect vehicles are actually a real thing as well. however, due to the fact that the increased lift is a result of the low flight altitude, they have limited actual utility (theo even points out the danger of hitting buildings). they're mostly confined to water usage. actually many of the technologies in 86 are based off of real world counterparts. even the cluster mortars that lena uses, as sci-fi as it seems, is based off real world weaponry!

2024-02-13 14:43:30 +0000 UTCRon if you like the music just go find out Sawano Hiroyuki music and you are all set for weeks of amazing music. He is the best composer in anime OST's.

2024-02-13 13:01:50 +0000 UTCWant to bring to light something that flies wayyy under the radar but something that this anime does much better than any other: sound design. The sounds of the guns, the cannons, all the artillery they use, the sounds of the juggernauts themselves, the sounds and creaks the massive ship makes as it flies, the voices Shin hears in his head, so much effort went into the sound design in this anime that you donβt really notice but makes all the difference in terms of what you get out of it. If thereβs anything that A1 pictures did really well with this adaptation itβs 100% the sound designπ

I mean, it would be great if you did, but the fact that this anime is insanely confusing is true too. It's the type of anime that you need to rewatch to catch every detail, and when you understand it all, you're gonna deeply fall in love with the way they tell the story.

2024-02-13 05:40:01 +0000 UTCEverything after this is so hype, I can't wait. I always saw Ernst as a very dangerous person. He believe that he does things for the right reasons and I do as well, but he's willing to condemn humanity if they fail to meet his standard. He mentions a few times, and I'm paraphrasing here, that humanity would be better off gone if society isn't just and morally right. So I do believe that he isn't "evil", but if he doesn't get his way and humanity isn't being morally upright in his eyes. He will go out of his way to remove it from existence. Love him as a character.
