I recognise this "old friend" from earlier in the comic. I hope nothing too crazy happened to ye Joe...

Hi Joe, I so respect what you're doing and hope it helps to bring down this whole evil "troubled teen industry. " Where the hell did anyone get the idea that anyone is helped by such horrific abuse???

Ugh the cliffhangers are killing me! This is just so enthralling and sad...

No way!!! Such a good chapter!!

A few thoughts: 1. WTF were your parents thinking??? It's hard to be empathetic and look past the fact that Elan gaslit them to hell, when the charges themselves were dropped mere months into the program. 2. I hope P is still in your life. Everybody needs a solid "drive 3 hours to smoke weed" friend in their lives. 3. Is that Gino at the end?

This brings back memories. These last two chapters have hit the hardest for me. This is exactly what it felt like when I came home. And it's true. It never goes away. You get better at living with it, but it's like a chronic disease. It needs to be treated every single day and it will never get better.

I have a lot of anger for Joe's parents.

Oh, it's Joe's best buddy Keanu!

He likes chocolate muffins, or maybe not anymore.

I don't know who that is on the phone, but I instantly do not trust them. That's someone looking to take me back.

Look again

I'm assuming that's probably a mistake

I can't describe the feelings I get every time I read a chapter. It sticks with me like nothing else has. I'm a parent, and I can't imagine doing this to my children, ever :(

Awesome chapter! I bet it's Ron on the other end of the line...

Wait, it didn't say "This is not the end" at the ending of the chapter... does that mean it's over?

That painted flower in the human outline is a really beautiful image, and really works in showing that moment of inner peace. But the rest of that, just… wow. I have no words.
