I know from hearing her talk about it how hard it is everyday to live life after Elan, and I'm so grateful that you're putting this out in the world to open everyone's eyes to the corrupt nature of politicians, the corruption in our police systems, the flawed nature of these facilities, and the absolute STRENGTH of human will. When I saw it wasn't finished and you had a patreon, I had to pledge. You are so incredibly strong minded, even as a teenager under those circumstances. I always kept hoping for a happy end and every next chapter was like a punch in my gut. I'm glad you shared this with the world and that you're working through it, and I'm glad you have a job and a family. Stay strong and thanks for educating us.

2020-11-05 06:29:14 +0000 UTCDo you ever try to research these long term residential drug and alcohol adolescent treatment centers? I really wonder what is going on at those places. They sound just like Elan. No communication with the parents until after many months, then a letter written on one side of a 3x5 index card that the staff reads first. No contact with families for long periods of time. Scary.
