If you watched the patreon preview, Id say theres enough new material in the first hour and 20 for a rewatchd, a lot of the sections have been altered, and some have been completely redone. As well as the final 40 minutes, which are brand new, and my favourite part of the video.
I'm going to take a bit of a rest, but once I’ve recovered, ill be catching up on all the @s and DMs, so apologies if you’ve messaged me and I haven't wrote back. If you don't get a response from me in a week or two, then message me again, as your message may have become lost in the pile. Ill also be catching up on Review Holes (GOTTA TALK ABOUT ROAD HOUSE) And doing another Campfire Call in stream soon.
Anyway. I'm gong to go burn off the tension of the last couple of days by running 10k. Then I'm going to play a lot of FInal Fanatsy Rebirth. Then Im going to sleep.

The first part really made me think about those reimagined trailers for famous movies if they were in a different era (Bogart as Indiana Jones) and even just watching screen test footage of various actors and actresses who didn’t get the part (Chris Farley as the voice of Shrek comes to mind) Around the 45 minute mark, I realized that secondary media is a very old concept. It’s the same reason that books have illustrations. The little line sketches of Winnie the Pooh and the 100 Acre Wood give a very specific feel to how the words translate to an image. My thought at 49:00 Minutes! He mentioned Brian Eno earlier! It’s really a lot like his 1978 Album “Music for Films” where he composed a complete soundtrack for a film that doesn’t exist. I wonder how many different ways you could recut video from famous films to use that soundtrack.

You did a fantastic job guiding us through so many fake games, highlighting why they’re so compelling (I still can’t believe Valle Verde, Jesus CHRIST dude). Okay fine sure, the topic’s a bit niche, but so are fake martial artists and Garfield horror - it felt rewarding hearing you talk about Breaking Bad Game Boy’d, having followed the series since he started it not too long after I discovered him because of YOUR Garfield video. More people are gonna find this cool stuff because of you - I feel like that, itself, carries meaning. Also I’m very glad you showed Luka Big Pants (if for just a second), I discovered him a few days ago and I’m already crazy about his FMV adventure game aesthetic.
