I want to do a proper life update/ video next week so ill keep this brief.
ALSO- There is a new Patreon reward available to all Patrons- I have started a new blog on the discord called “The Review Hole”, where I shall review every piece of media I consume from now, till the end of time. There’s already three reviews up there and next week ill be reviewing Gun Buster, and not long after that Monster.

It's odd that I find videos like this to be comforting, especially with the dark subject matter, but with videos like this you can have all the good parts of a game's experience without having to actually play it. Kind of like how hbomber explained reading about pathologic, loving the concepts behind the game but struggling to play it. I just don't have the time or mental energy to play games like this and have recently recovered from my PTSD so it wouldn't be a good idea for me to play it and potentially get triggered by it😂

I would love to hear what you have to say about the censored content, especially considering its difficult nature. I play video games sparingly nowadays (screwed up hands) so I always want to hear as much as I can.

2023-05-08 22:35:35 +0000 UTCfascinating video - won’t play the game myself due to the reasons you listed in the vid lol, but the structure of the game sounds really interesting… I love games that aren’t just based on your character’s stats and also require the actual player to grow and adapt. also, heads up: there’s some people really wishing for a trigger warning at the very front of the video, instead of right before the discussion of the more “intense” things the game entails.. might not be a bad idea, as I know that people all handle mentions of SA differently.

2023-05-07 01:08:42 +0000 UTCI feel the same way listening to you talk about this game that I do listening to HBomb or Mandalore (or Ragnar or SulMatul) talk about Pathologic. I respect your enthusiasm and the developer’s ambition, but it’s probably a hard nope on me ever playing this myself. This sounds like the worst parts of Dark Souls, Pathologic and Lisa: The Painful fused into an H.R. Giger nightmare. I don’t mind a good challenge, but having my dismembered corpse repeatedly debased by ogres is where I draw the line (I wonder if the nudity wasn’t included as a way of discouraging reviewers and streamers from spoiling the experience…then again, maybe it was just a weird creative choice or shock value). Still, letting the player get trapped in the “Shit Pit” is a pretty darkly hilarious idea – surprised Miyazaki hasn’t done that yet. Great work as always.
