Vahtang Beat Box Battle?

Comments

Haha I just searched your YouTube and sure enough, you’ve seen mb14 vs Saro so you know where loop beatbox started, check out what it is like now. You won’t believe it’s the same. I do suggest checking out Brez though, I think you’ll like his bouncy bass and rap style.

The 7 to smoke contest is more freestyle multi-elimination type thing done for fun after the main world championship is over. Vahtang does more like what you’re thinking in the longer rounds in the actual competition. I cannot remember who he faced in the competition round, but it would be where you found the 7-to-smoke rounds. Here he faced two previous world champs and they were just goofing off, their battle rounds are nothing to play with. Dlow though is, right now, top goat when it comes to live beatbox sounds and how he assembled live rounds, but I think he mostly does lives on his channel after he won like just about every world competition. He just judges these comps now. Dude seriously, Ive joined Patreon just to watch ythis video because no one really dives down the rabbit hole of these guys so please check em out! Napom, Dlow, Remix probably have more what you’d like, they blend musicality with bass and technical drum patterns. Colaps, alexhino, footboxG are more technical drum pattern beatboxers and and less musicality. Stitch, Den, River’ focus more on musicality and creating whole musical pieces if you’re interested in that. Then there’s a whole extra level where the beatboxers use a option that records their beatbox and they loop their recorded beatbox sounds with added effects like reverb, pitching up/down, and sometimes sing or rap over their mouth-produced beats. This level of option beatbox is more true to the art form with artists like Brez (raps over his beatbox, every battle of his are fire), MB14 (classically trained singer as well, does some reggae and rap too over his beatbox, his LaCup video is top notch, he was also on the voice France and the voice France all-stars, got golden buzzer on Britain’s got talent, and has starred in a French movie since his battle days), and Saro who took what everyone did in 2016 and 2017 with beatbox and flipped it on its head using the few effects the old loopstation had and produced banging tracks that blew everyone’s minds because it all comes from his mouth. I actually think a long time ago you may have seen the mb14 vs Saro battle, it seems like I watched that video where you reacted but it was like years and years ago. The last and most recent loopstation stuff is more like produced on the spot tracks. They even had to switch up the rules and divisions of the battles because these guys have gotten so damn complex. Watch Syjo perform “Monster” live and you’ll see what I mean. You see him beatbox sounds into the machine but what he outputs is completely different. Still mouth sounds, still done live on the spot with none-recorded sounds or melodies, but fur to er away from what the purists consider to be beatbox looping.

Damn I thought he should've won the 2nd round

Nice, I wasn't expecting you to react to a beatbox video. Not sure if it's gonna be your cup of tea but there's a whole rabbit hole of beatbox content waiting for you to enjoy if you're willing.
