The pre-order is up on Amazon, so there's not really any reason to hold back the high res version of the cover.
Because I have an absolutely gorgeous version of this cover that isn't cropped, I've posted it as well. There's no typo covering things up, so you can admire the legs properly.
As explained in the previous post, this cover depicts Ariel, the Devil Queen. The original idea was to show Vallis, but I saw an early version and I decided to change the character. It'll be a while before Ariel joins the harem properly, so this is more of a tease.
This is probably my second-favorite of the Demon's Throne covers. My favorite is the one I use for my Facebook banner, which depicts Morai (who also shows up in this book). There's a lot to love about these covers.
Probably the hardest part about covers is cropping them for the actual cover and placing typography. I usually get slightly larger versions done, including full body of the character, but these aren't always the best thing to post unaltered. Covers need to work at Amazon thumbnail size on mobile devices, and if none of the details of the cover girl can be picked out, then all those lovely details go to waste.
In this case, Ariel's legs get downgraded in favor of the throne and the way it frames the entire cover. I have a future Spellblade cover that looks absolutely amazing, but I still haven't come up with a crop I'm happy with (and that kind of hurts, as I love the original image).
