Messenger Poll: WIP Projects

So, I've mentioned that I've had some troubles with Billions and have ended up working on some other stuff. I wanted to get a sense of people's views on how I post the extra content. In general, I try to keep the Patreon fairly casual now so that it doesn't consume time I could spend on books and future series, which is why extra Messenger content can be so inconsistent (it is the bonus tier).

The tl;dr is that the poll is about whether I should post chapters from stories I'm working on, even if there's a chance they end up going nowhere. An example of this is Corrupted Retirement, which I'm unlikely to revisit as my interest in it burned out for various reasons (and I will probably add a disclaimer for now). Billions isn't quite in this category.

If patrons would prefer me to only post content of stories I'm certain I'll publish in the near future, I'll hold off on certain content posts and it will allow me to work out how I focus on series. I currently have three side-projects slowly burning (Billions plus two others), plus the three published series. Any of those side-projects could fizzle out or be delayed indefinitely.

This doesn't mean I'll post half-baked ideas that won't ever be published. Billions was already outlined, for example, but has just ran into a bunch of issues during writing (which can be an issue while writing the first in a series - sometimes stuff just doesn't work).

For more context on Billions, the basic issue is that the story of Derek running a business didn't gel with the overarching plot of melding into high society. I placed too much focus on the "proving himself" part. This led to frustration as I felt I was overworking the story instead of letting it flow naturally. So I've ended up writing a whole lot of other stuff instead.

But I don't want to post the other stuff if people would prefer that I don't risk the same thing happening again. Sometimes people might prefer less content to more, if it's more likely to land a final product.

I guess another way to put the poll is: do people want to see WIPs that might not go anywhere?

In other news, Demon's Throne 3 will proceed as expected. First update in a couple of days and then weekly batches. The second part of the Kadria story should also go up in the first half of Feb.
