2024-04-21 22:39:49 +0000 UTCThere's a lot to analyze during this fight between Gohan and Vegeta. Just in case. If you really analyze Vegeta's character, he really has very high respect for Gohan. Examples are: He compliments his power several times during his battle with Frieza. Thus, before they fought, Vegeta questioned if he should destroy Gohan first before he destroys Vegeta someday. Even after the fight, when he said "What a waste of talent," he's admitting that Gohan was strong before he flew away. He literally watched Gohan grow to be the powerful warrior he became. Also, not to sound like I condone violence, but Piccolo didn't intervene until the end because, If Vegeta had been the one to attack Gohan first, Piccolo would've come to the kid's defense. Piccolo made no move to intervene during the fight because it was Gohan's decision to initiate it, like a warrior making his own choices and living with the consequences. Only when the fight is over does Piccolo step in on Gohan's behalf by offering a carefully worded warning, rather than a kick to the back of Vegeta's head which would only escalate matters.
