During first watch, we all miss so many clues & hints, and in this movie, a huge part of that is all the lore and rules (Dos & Donts) of Halloween, which are mostly muttered quickly by characters in passing. We end up getting distracted and having full conversations while the movie is playing and we miss so much. I only noticed a small portion of what you missed lol. mostly in passing or throwaway lines. In a connected anthology film like this, no detail is too small. Everything is important. rules (Dos and Donts) and those scenes are some of the best parts. I'm also super excited to FINALLY (HOPEFULLY) get the ball rolling on the sequel! It's in active development and Michael Dougherty (writer & Director of this movie) returns to write and direct. He brought back the same storyboard artist and brought in his two co-writers on the "Krampus" movie! Both if them also wrote stories in the official Trick R Treat omnibus. The new articles are Michael Dougherty answering questions from screenings of the movie and he said it's in active development with Legendary studios and they have a "great, great script," written by him his Krampus co-writers.

I have been banging the Trick 'R Treat 2007 reaction drum forEVER (including on EVERY Petty Pumkins YT video) because NONE of my fav reactors have seen it! THANK SAMHAIN I could count on my boys at Petty Pumpkins! I watch the movie EVERY Halloween night! It's the epitome of a Halloween movie (not just a horror movie)! It's a Halloween masterpiece; a cult classic. It's an anthology film that tells several different, equally entertaining stories but still manages to organically provide amazing Halloween lore and cleverly uses the "official" Halloweem mascot, Sam (aka Samhain), to tie the stories together in brilliant ways that don't detract from the stand-alone pieces of each story. It's fucking BRILLIANT! It's over-looked & underappreciated because so few people have even heard of it.
