Chapter Debrief | Session 𝓢ixty-Seven

Hi Lusties. I hope everyone's week is going well so far. I do want to clear up a few things before we get into this debrief.

Wednesday's chapter was stated to be delayed to the nighttime. I went back to edit this chapter and decided I wanted to change a lot of what was written.

The comments were disabled because it was highly overwhelming, and hard for me to focus with constant comments rushing me.

I try to keep you guys updated, and I stated that this chapter would be coming out at a later time. I wish it had been more respected. I understand if I went ghost, but that was not the case here.

Also, regarding updates, it's not something that would be randomly taken away here. If it does get to a point with anyone, then I will remove them, as this is a safe space we all built together. Updates are still on the same schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), today was just a harder day for me, and I communicated that to all of you on the chapter visual post. This chapter was 6000+ words so it was a lot more to rewrite and edit all over again.

Anyways, now focusing back on the debrief here. A lot occurred during this chapter.

The opening scene was chef's kiss to me, especially their conversation after.

I think a lot of you are probably surprised Ro decided to award Liberty a scholarship to her name. Essentially, this means it's all Liberty's, which gives the security Monroe knows she craves.

Monroe not sleeping and packing for them both was concerning and sweet at the same time. Liberty, also being aware that something was up with Monroe, was very wholesome, too.

Libs did her BIG one on the flight—Monroe about lost her mind😭

And Ro Ro falling asleep on Liberty's lap was probably one of their top ten moments. Monroe saying, "This is a first," and Libs saying, "Good" was absolutely peak for them. Liberty definitely loved the idea of being the first that Monroe did that with.

The real bomb drop here was Monroe's parents sending their driver in place of the one Monroe had already hired.

We love Liberty for picking up on the loss of control Ro felt from that last-minute switch by her parents. Also, Monroe being petty with the driver killed me. Especially when she went out of her way to say, "A very massive inconvenience, might I emphasize."

La Maison Leclair also translates to The Leclair House, for anyone lost on that. The driver was instructed to take them to her parents' house, which was the exact opposite of what Monroe ever planned to do.

How do we feel about the driver not stopping the car? And what do you think Monroe will do from here?

Feel free to drop your theories and opinions below. Book club is officially open for discussion🤍
