WW84 Watchalong Uncut

For the grand finale of 2020, here’s our uncut watchalong of DC’s Wonder Woman 1984. We had a great time watching this live with everyone in the Hero Tier. We’ll keep everyone posted on next month’s watchalong.

In the meantime, look forward to our first live Q&A happening at the beginning of January where you’ll be able to ask us anything.

Hey Fellas!! I'm finally starting to feel better so I won't be stuck in bed able to watch movies..lol This is one has me divided but I do think that this is a good movie. I think you guys might have missed some of the nuances which happens to the best of us. But don't worry I am not an internet troll..lol I completely believe in agreeing to disagree and I have way to much respect for you guys to act cray cray, as the children say..lol But I believe this was more of a wish fulfilment story. Historically, when dealing with wishes especially those that are provided in nefarious ways, not only is there a cost but there's also usually a trick or twist to the wish that is granted. Like you wish for a million dollars and you get it because you parents die and leave it to you . It's also one of the reason that the Jinn/Genies that they referred to in Ms. Marvel have a negative connotation. They're interactions with humnas usually tend to lead to the humans death or harm in some way shape or form. The way I looked at is Diana nor Barbara, ever thought that their wishes would come true. And for Diana, when it did her heart was so full. She felt like the world, the universe, was giving her something back for all the kindness and good that she's done. And when she found out the truth about the root of it, I believe she knew in her heart of hearts that eventually she'd lose Steve again. But facing the loss of you're true love not once but twice is traumatizing. Look what happened to Wanda. I do agree the villain stories were strong enough to be in their own movies. That this would have been better is Max was the villain and Diana and Barbara just became really great friends and in WW3- 2023...lol That's when she could have been the villain. I really enjoyed the movie, it spoke to me, as a cautionary tale of what happens when williful ignorance meets magic/hell or money. Getting everything you want may not be all it's cracked up to be. "Be careful what you wish for" is a saying for a reason. I'll leave you with this quote, "the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them." Albus Dumbledore!
