March Comes in Like a Lion 2x1 Reaction Extended (YT link below)

In March Comes in Like a Lion 2x1, "Rei" learns that Ramune is not just a soda with an annoying glass ball that you can't get out, it's also a metaphor for the fact that you can't advance without being vulnerable, etc?

Even years later, every single OP and ED from this show hits me like a freight train.

I’ll once again 3rd Run with the wind such a great cast of guys all around great anime

monogatari would make him uncomfortable in both the best and worst possible ways, i honestly want to see a reaction to it just in the sense that i have no idea how he'd actually react to some of the stuff in it

@Chris My heart is right there with you. Nana and K-on! would be my first votes. Hopefully we’ll get a Goodwin post in the future where he’s ask for new slice-of-life/romance recommendations.

Tatami galaxy is a wild ride that I absolutely adore!! I don't see a lot of people talking about it, which is unfortunate. It's witty, crisp and seamless dialogues are just chef's kiss along with the amazing animation and art style!! So is ping pong the animation! Like you said Yuasa is such a creative beast! So I'm looking forward to watching "Keep your hands off Eizouken!" next. Also, third the recommendations whenever goodwin can get to them. Run with the wind really got me into running and it's such a cathartic experience for me now! It's such a beautiful show.

@Goodwin TV This is kinda surreal, since I was just at Washington DC and there were missionaries EVERYWHERE, at the monuments, the memorials, I even had one walk up to me while I was eating alone at a food court, they were saying very similar things.

My heart really wants him to watch Nana, but I know it’s unlikely.

I strongly second and recommend both of these shows. "Run With the Wind" is basically done by the exact same Anime Staff of Haikyuu (Director, Composer, Carachter Designer etc.) and has the same vibes and wonderful, rich cast like Haikyuu, but it's still very much it's own show and accomplishes everything it sets out to do in just 23 episodes. Would be a very seamless and fitting baton pass when Haikyuu finishes. "Ping Pong the animation" on the other hand fits very well in the March Slot, as they feel like very similar artistic takes on the sport anime genre. It's directed by Masaaki Yuasa (" Devilman Crybaby"/ "Tatami Galaxy"/ "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!"), who is an absolute creative madlad of an director. Would be a swift and stunning quickie of a reaction with just 11 episodes.

That Church event sounded like it could've been a substory in the Yakuza games :D Hopefully it didn't end with you brawling your way out of there with oversized furniture. Season 1 has superb production values, but this first episode is already going even nuttier with the art/animation. The Mangaka Chica Umino firmly requested that only Studio Shaft to be the one anime studio that can adapt March comes in Like A Lion in her eyes and I'm beyond grateful to her, the Staff and whatever production comittee allowed them to have so much time and the required Budget to create this wonderful adaptation. Also the unique ending visuals of the last episode/ the last episode of Season 1 were entirely drawn and storyboarded by the Mangaka Chica Umino herself. I love when Mangaka get to animate/draw on the adaptations of their works, like with Mob Psycho 100, when ONE animated the comedic skit at the end of S1. I wouldn't mind at all seeing more reactions from Studio Shaft in the future, with shows like Madoka Magica or Monogatari (the latter show would be very "interesting" for many reasons and I've got a very complicated relationship with Monogatari, but again, It would be a fascinating reaction on many levels...)

I've written this once already, but im not sure if you read it so forgive me if im repeating myself: If youre ever looking for new stuff to watch after "Haikyuu" and" March comes In like a lion" i think you would really appreciate "Run with the wind" and "Ping Pong the animation". They are two amazing sport shows (about running and ping pong respectively, i know such creative titles). Seeing the things you appreciate about the shows you currently watching i think they would both be right up your alley, they really zoom in on questions like what the point of competing is, the pressure of competing on a high level, stuff like that. Also they are both pretty short (like 24 and 12 episodes respectively i think) so having them on your watchlist won't block you for a full year :D

Had to hear them out at least. Did you know Jesus already came back?

So you almost joined a cult, huh? Why am I not surprised πŸ˜‚
