Previously shared the line work for him front view a while back but I wasn't quite happy with the facial expression and the some of the angles of the pose.
I tend to shelf sketches for a while that I really want to get right. I think coming at them with a 'new-eye' sometime later has benefited a number of pieces. It could be something like the character's proportions or anatomy that i feel is a little off but can't quite put my finger on it at that time. Coming back to a piece can also give the added bonus feeling of improvement. I've also used a different Clip Studio brush for the lineart on this piece rather than my normal Sai brush, so it was nice to break out a little.
I'd say he's now in proportion ;) If you forgot what he looks like from the back.
