squirrel story
Added 2022-04-20 04:15:32 +0000 UTCSo the craziest thing happened. I've been working on my lab and house 6 days a week with my dad. One day we took a break and went to explore the woods a bit, when this friendly squirrel came out and followed us all the way back home. I made this short vid with clips I've taken this past week with her.
She is quite young, roughly 12 weeks old, which is right around the age where she should be leaving the nest. Even at this age, I wonder if the reason she was so eager for human interaction was because something happened to her mom and siblings. It's also possible that she's simply a super chill squirrel. I now live in a pretty remote location, so she certainly isn't a released pet or a park squirrel. I do hope she sticks around! I have named her Ophelia.
Lab is coming along slowly but surely, stay tuned!!
