STEINS;GATE: Episode 13 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

**TIME-LOOPING HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

So....things got really grim last episode there at the end, didn't it? No fun at all. So, what does this episode give us?

Only a very driven, very upset, and very "mad" Okarin - who is vowing to do whatever it takes to save Mayuri...the question is...is that a good thing? *nervous laughter intensifies*

STEINS;GATE: Episode 13 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

This episode got REALLY dark! And yes, Kurisu noticing something is up with him was such a great point in this episode because yes, he was acting very out of character! And ooooooof, Mayuri dying multiple times - OH WOW YES - the Link Click connection - I can SO see that!! I wasn’t expecting to compare Lu Guang to Okarin, but here we are, and it works so well! Thank you for the comment!

Oh boy, this episode gets dark. I love how Kurisu can just tell that there's something wrong with Okabe; both because she is a scientist and a very capable one at that, and because she has gotten to know Okabe enough that this attitude is clearly something wrong. Seeing Mayuri die no less than three times in this episode, each one in its own different way, reminded me of Link Click and their death nodes, there being certain things that can't be changed.

So that was trauma inducing, huh? Everytime I hear that line my pocket watch stopped working Im holding onto my seat or taking another sip of Dr. Pepper because I know what's coming. Ughh they knew what they were doing too giving us that backstory at the start too. Okarin hugging Mayuri saying he wont let her go from back then and then all the different times he held her hand ughhhh. I hope that when he time leaps it doesnt create a permanent alternate timeline because poor Nae if when Okarin time leaps again having to live traumatized knowing she accidentally killed Mayuri. Is it tragic and poetic irony that Mayuri's hand was forcefully pulled away from Okarin before being fully catapulted into that train? Tbh Im very worried for Okarin's mental health if he doesnt give himself time to process all this and just live in the moment. I wanted him to hug Mayuri too and just have a moment where he talks to her but I get it. I mean Okarin is being very on brand Okarin he didnt want Suzuha to leave because they're friends and that would be sad and terrible so he changed the world line to one where she wouldnt and now in this worst case scenario he's just launching head first into I cant let Mayuri die which I dont know if that's going to work. I like that Okarin the second time around doesnt say the party is cancelled but postponed showing that despite everything he doesnt want to speak as if they wont get through this. Another thing again is the more we have Mayuri being distanced and brutally being removed from Okarin is the closer he gets to Kurisu and while I like the budding romance between the two I dread what the series is going to do with it. I dread everything in this series at this point.
