This episode was pure tension and building of FEAR - as in true anime fashion, so much foreshadowing and jinxing phrases, with the series building up all these possibilities of ways things could go wrong...or maybe end up okay...right? *Nervous Laugh* My tinfoil hat is on as we meet new characters and others we know quite well are setting themselves up for possible ruin!

I wish we could get past our egos and agendas as well; infuriating is a great word for it! And yay for No Kings! I’m glad you all got to go out and be a part of that. And yes, things have been worse but as long as we have a voice, there is hope! Ah, my dad’s family and mom’s grandparents were Baptist, so I’m not sure, either. But that would make sense with celibacy; thank you for the link! That torture scene was….OOF. Nope. Hahaha, I don’t judge heathens one bit. 😛 But yeah, this story is SO relevant! We are in dark times, but at least those that are not with one opinion…can easily vocalize that and create community - it’s a lot harder in this series to do that. Yeah, last week the fam was busy with No Kings, but we had a great time! Watching this episode reminds me, even if things look dire today, at one time they were worse! Having a voice, such as it is, does give me hope. I have no idea how the Catholic Church works. Both my parents were raised in the church so my mom knew a lot about it. I got a bit queasy…. I agree with your assessment of getting used to the violence in order to do your job. You have to have a thick skin and sometimes you can loose your empathy along the way. Yeah, as you know, more than half the country has just been declared terrorist for not being Christian Nationalist. I really hope we don’t devolve into this, but alas, we are in the darkest timeline. Cute story time! Ok, at my monthly lunch with my mom’s friends, one lady had a story to share with us. She had lost her husband a while ago so I never knew him. She was recalling how much he loved to make good trouble and would get himself arrested at protests for different causes. He was even on TV a few times getting arrested. He wore it like a badge of honor that he put his privilege on the line for others. She was very proud of him. Remember, he was an elderly white man! GOALS! A lesson for us all. Sometimes we have to keep our eyes on the prize! I have hardly talked about the episode only because you did such a good job bringing up great points!
