I just love this episode! It was honestly one of the most unique of the series concept-wise and I really wanted the doll to be friends with Nishimura as well - you can tell Nishimura craves a deeper friend connection…I could totally ship alongside you! Totally agree with you; the fact that he accepts and cares for Natsume, while realizing he’s different in various settings is so good. I really like Nishimura as a friend for Natsume too, platonically. But yes, we can multiship so much, right?! Thank you for the comment and kind words!! This season has been so good!

It will be so worth it! And yes, that note about Nishimura is so sweet - I love his “care” of his friend! And yes, the fact that Natsume has found “his people” in this town with the Fujiwaras is so sweet and lovely. Thanks again and I’m Soooooooooo ready for this coming week!

What a lovely episode. 🥰 Thank you for the choice regarding the manga/anime (selfishly) – as that is very much my preference. 😆 I will definitely be waiting for the next season. Adore the way Nishimura is actually so acclimated to Natsume’s ‘oddness’ that something like this really didn’t phase him. And loved how careful he is with the doll, sweetest bean! 🥰 I so appreciate that this manga/anime really focuses on Natsume’s friendships with wonderful people. Looking forward to next week! 💙

2025-10-23 08:09:25 +0000 UTChonestly this episode is my favourite of the season and i was so sad when the doll was gone, pls i wanted the doll to be nishimura's "friend" forever and it being his connection to the yokai world (and ngl i did ship it idc). and i 100% agree that nishimura would be fine with the yokai !! he's so positive and optimistic and he's sooo cute i want him to be better friends with natsume to add that splash of sunlight. i love how at the end he realises natsume is different than he's at school but he loves it anyway ;-; natsume needs more "go with the flow and be happy" vibes all around. i need to clarify i don't rlly ship nishimura with natsume, more like nishimura with the doll version of natsume, bc i mean that's a completely different person lmao. im not against the natsume and nishimura pairing (multishipper here) but i feel like the whole episode was about him and the doll yokai not natsume, plus nishimura subconsciously does treat them and sees them as different people even if he doesn't know why
