The Red Kingdom Ch 5: Bathroom Break!

(Throne)

Night had fallen hard.

I sat slumped against the side of the wooden cage, knees up, arms draped over them like a wet rag. The fire Senaka had made earlier still burned bright—taller than any house I'd ever seen. The flames crackled and hissed as they devoured thick branches bigger than a man's torso, sending sparks swirling high into the air like fireflies on madness.

We were parked on a clearing—flat dirt surrounded by trees as thick as towers. The wall of Varkor was long out of sight, swallowed by bark and distance.

Senaka sat near the fire, legs stretched out in opposite directions, her massive form glowing with the light of the flames. Bronze armor shimmered against her brown skin, and her scarred eye—milky and dead—stared off into nothing.

I couldn't help but look at her.

It was strange. I had heard stories of giants all my life—mythical tales passed down in Evermore, whispered beside fires or on the docks. They were monsters, creatures of destruction, things too big and brutal to be real. But here she was, breathing, watching the night, alive.

And not just alive—comfortable. Relaxed.

Like we were cattle she'd just bought at a market.

"Don't stare too long," one of the men beside me muttered under his breath. I couldn't tell who.

I didn't reply. I just looked away, drawing my knees in a bit tighter.

Then came the rumble.

A deep, stomach-turning vibration through the ground, like thunder rolling in from the earth itself.

"What the hell—?" someone whispered.

I didn't have time to guess. Senaka stood up.

Her towering form blocked out the moon for a moment, casting long shadows over the cage. She turned away from the fire, her massive bronze boots thudding against the ground as she walked toward the brush at the edge of the clearing.

With one hand, she grabbed the cage.

The world lurched as she lifted us into the air again like we weighed nothing, the trees dipping far below us. She carried us just a few steps before setting the cage down with a thump behind a thick line of trees.

"What is she doing now?" someone whispered.

No one answered. We all watched.

Senaka looked over her shoulder at us once—casual, as if making sure we were still there—then turned back around.

We saw her fingers hook under the waistband of her pants.

"Oh no," one of the men muttered.

Then the smell hit.

It came in slow at first, like a warning on the wind.

Then all at once.

My stomach flipped. I gagged and slapped a hand over my nose, my eyes watering. It was like death and swamp water had gotten married and gone rotten on their honeymoon.

"Oh, gods—" one of the men coughed beside me.

"She's doing it," another croaked. "She's—"

"Don't say it," I hissed, turning my face down into my shirt as the ground continued to rumble as the giant continued to defecate right in front of us

It was humiliating. Absolutely humiliating. Not because we were near it. Not because she didn't care. But because this was normal for her. She was comfortable treating us like this—like livestock who didn't need dignity.

Senaka still crouched looked down at us, her eyes cold. She reached towards the cage, unhooking the top, giving us a better look at her face. The darkness made her look even more threatening as she stared down at us.

Her hand descended into the cage, me along with the other 8 men ran trying to get away. I dove to the ground, hoping that I would go unnoticed.

Apparently it worked for ear piercing screams of one unlucky guy echoed through the cage as Senakas fingers wrapped around him and lifted him up into the air.

The ceiling of the cage was put back in place forcing us to look through the bars as Senaka  brought the man who was still screaming towards her ass and began to wipe her ass with his body.

The man continued to scream as he was forced deep into the giants ass cheeks, over and over again, but soon those screams stopped.

The giant brought the now quite man up to her face before throwing him to the ground.

We all watched as the poor man slammed into the ground with such force that his body broke upon contact. The very sound of his bones breaking made the sick feeling in my stomach grow worse.

She didn't even think of us, as she stood up and put back on her pants, she didn't even care about the man she had just killed, which wasn't all that surprising.

The sound of her shifting, the weight of her footsteps, the lazy way she stretched afterward—it was all too casual.

Like we weren't even here.

She walked back toward the fire after, adjusting her armor, completely unbothered by the way we were half-dying inside the cage.

I felt bile claw up my throat and forced it back down.

This wasn't a prison.

It was worse.

The truth began to settle in once again, we weren't prisoners.

We were property.

I clenched my jaw, trying to remember the name of the lake back home. The one in Evermore. The one that sparkled at sunrise.

But all I could think of now... was the stench, the awful stench and the poor dead man covered in human feces.
