Law School - Progress update #1

Hello everyone,
This progress update marks the beginning of the communication around Law School, and I am very happy about it.
The Entrepreneur is now behind me after a successful Steam release, and I can now give all my free time to Law School.
The way I want this game to be is to have more interactions to it than The Entrepreneur. Mini-games, a free Roam event per episode, decisions to make, money management, secret renders to unlock, etc...
This means not only do I need to create story renders, but also other renders that will used in the game.
More than an AVN you will read, there will be a sort of 3D feeling involved as there will be menus, buttons, drag actions etc...
Do not worry, this game will not be a Sandbox.
It just means that there will be more interactions involved to help you fully immerge the game and "play" rather than just read.
I can't give you goals as to how many renders I want this first episode to be, or when will the game be out, as I plan on quitting my day job before the end of the year and go back to full time developing AVNs.
To make sure it is a viable option, I need to see if I will be financially able to do so as there is a housing crisis in Ireland and rent here is outrageous, which is why I'm still working on this while having a regular day job. Once I'm able to quit, progress will be made much quicker.
That being said, I've fixed myself short time goals to help me see progress being made. I'm trying to get at least 150 story renders done per week. It is something that's doable, but challenging as well, as I've decided to step up my game with the quality of the renders.
Law School is about life at college, which means there will be tons of students as well. I need to make sure that any scenes that will take place in a public setup will have to be "crowded" with background characters having interactions, doing stuff, etc...
I found an efficient way which I didn't use before is to use Billboards, 2d images of characters I create and then use in my scene. The advantage of 2D billboards is that they're texture-less, and therefore don't tax my GPU Vram, which allows me to use many of them and have a realistic, alive and warm scene without having my computer crash, or the software stuttering when I'm modeling because that is very frustrating and time consuming.
But creating those billboards take time, as every scene requires different ones, with different clothes and/or lighting, especially when using main characters that interacted in the scene and then become billboards in the background.
But yeah, long story short, it'll be a sight for sore eyes once I'm finished.
Now, let's talk some numbers:
As I said before, a big part of the work on Law School was creating the story, the characters, their backstories, the environments, the logo, etc...
A lot of it has been made over the end July and beginning of August, while I was working on the Steam release, and I'm now working on creating the scenes to the game.
So far, I've created:
201 story renders
3 animations
3 and a half scenes have been fully written.
I also have one LEWD scene that will be created shortly as I will send the details to the animator I've hired.
The goal for next Monday is to be at 350 renders! We will see if I can maintain this rhythm but if I do, Law School will come out pretty quickly!
Finally, every week I will share with you one of the characters of the game, and today, meet Rose, MC's best friend! She is also a Love Interest.

Anyway, that was it for today.
I wish you a great week, and I'll see you later.
