Progress update episode 3 - Plans, LEWD animations, timeline ...
Added 2022-03-12 13:16:06 +0000 UTC
Hey everyone, I'd like first and foremost to thank you for your feedback on the second episode.
I have taken note of your messages regarding bugs, complaints, and issues, and I will release a patch in two weeks to make sure that I've fixed everything.
But then again, your support and feedback have been amazing since the release and mean everything to me, so to you all, thank you.
I hope you're hooked and happy to tag along on this journey towards the third episode, and then more.
If you want to be on the lookout for hints about this update, I created a Twitter where I'll share some photos of the game and characters as if they were sharing it on their Facegram.
They will all let you know what's up with them ;)
So, I've been working for a week now on the third episode, and I want to reassure people about a few things, which is why this post in open to everyone and not patrons only.
There were concern about a few things, especially the fact that LEWD animations were available to patrons only.
I'd like to address this first.
My goal, is to make sure that patrons who support the project don't feel ripped off, and at the same time, allow everyone who wants to try out my game to actually be able to play it.
I'm pretty new to all this patreon system, since I'm a new dev and this is my first game.
I try to take a step back and put myself in the position of my patrons because I was and am supporting different devs too.
That's why this system of a free version and a premium version was applied.
As I said to many of you before, I'm trying different things until I find the best way to reward supporters of the game, and grow my community, all while delivering the best game possible.
I also decided to try another method of release for the third episode which will allow everyone to download the premium game.
I was thinking of something like this:
1st week = $20 and above
2nd week = $10 and above
3rd week = $5 and above
4th week = Public release
I believe this will be a better way to reward supporters and let the game be available to everyone at some point, with every animations in it.
There will be a rework in tiers advantages to make sure that this plan can actually make sense, for exemple 15$ and 10$ patrons will receive the game at the same time, so I need to make it more interesting by adding another advantage to 15$ patrons.
That's a lot of little details that I need to take a look at.
We'll see, but I just wanted to make sure you know that I'm not trying to be a milker or anything, there are enough of that on Patreon in my opinion.
I intend to finish the game by the end of 2022 and create another after that, because I like what I do, I like reading your comments on my game, see that what I create makes you laugh, feel emotions, and that you enjoy it, which is why I want it to be my job.
And that brings me to plans and the timeline for the rest of the year.
EPISODE 3 objectives:
My goal is to release a new episode every three months.
I strongly believe that I can do it.
As for this third episode, every events and important decisions are decided and all I have to do now is follow my timeline and work.
I obviously can't come up with numbers as of right now, but I'm pretty sure every episodes will be similar in terms of static renders, animations, scenes, decisions.
So, that's pretty much it for this week's progress update.
I hope you have a great week-end, and I'll see you soon.

Maybe I'm not following correctly Marlboro, but looking up the acronym NTR (because i'm still new to the genre having only discovered it pretty much late last year), I don't see in DMD NTR content. Everything they do or not in that game is consentual between F & D. Now in Sunshine Love, you are correct but even so, it is still consentual if mc chooses to breakup with Nicole or have an open relationship with her. The way I see things is if there is a breakup, then it doesnt matter who has sex with who. On the other hand if the relationship is agreed on as being open, then the only real reasons it matters is if there is some disease exposure, great bodily harm or whatever terms of the agreement are. Sure, I'd be out for blood if my open relationship partner was hurt or killed by a casual sex contact, but in the case of a breakup, I live by the old axiom, all is fair in love and war.
2022-04-03 03:52:25 +0000 UTCAgree with you, but I think most of the patreon supportes are in for creator. This story is awesome so far as are the renders. If creators stick to their style, risk of loosing supports are low. Melody was awesome, but after playing DMD and getting that twist in chap4 creator is in my black list. I hate NTR, and lately creators seam to play be required to add this content despite claiming not to. After a few arguments in discord, I just dropped the game and creator (lost trust). I think supported are in for some time of story/content. A strong twist is a backstab on long term supportes and a huge risk. Not sure you can earn new type of audience as fast as you loose historical once. Am on Patreon since 1 year and my first was NTL with ton (still supporting).

2022-03-14 01:55:03 +0000 UTCI keep meaning to edit the comment but i get distracted by life issues, but wish I could see those "facegram" posts but unfortunately, i had a terrible experience you might say similar to what Valentine suffered but not in the fame part . Similar in that it almost destroyed my psyche on both facebook and on steam's message boards and I decided to just get off of all social media except for patreon and subscribestar. So I am not on twitter, facebook, instagram or any other social media platform. The hatred compounded in those places, i have no room for in my life.
2022-03-13 14:44:57 +0000 UTCThank a lot Ganderwiz for your comment. It means to me to know that my game is quoted along such great games as Melody, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Your support is greatly appreciated.

2022-03-13 09:08:28 +0000 UTCYour comment truly put a smile on my face. Thank you for saying all this, knowing people enjoy my game is all the motivation I need to keep working as hard as I can and deliver a great next episode. I'm glad you enjoyed playing it.

2022-03-13 09:02:33 +0000 UTCYou know, I have not held back in my support or praise of this project, and I think your plan is a good one but while I understand what you are trying to accomplish with your release plan for subscribers, I fear that it has the potential to backfire on you. In a perfect world, you would be absolutely correct. However this is not a perfect world. And I am afraid that if you give everyone access to the full game after a certain period of time, what is to stop the people who want something for nothing from just waiting a bit. If money isn't an issue to you, then by all means, go ahead. I know that equipment, software, training and outsourcing what you cannot do isn't cheap, and I would hate to never see how things end up for Laura, Lucy, Alexa, Valentine and MC due to you having to stop production because people decided to "get the free milk rather than buy the cow and feed it" so to speak. Like the 1 or 2 other AVN'S I support and play, i have no plans on changing so long as I am here and kicking but you cannot produce an awesome game like this with only 1 or 2 paying patrons. The tiered release is a good idea except for that last one. Actually the very first AVN I played was the free version of Melody by MrDots and I was hooked on the AVN genre. You could do a similar free version to that without compromising the character development. But I prefer quality over quantity which is why I only support and play a very few of them, and The Entrepreneur is truthfully, one of the best stories in the AVN genre. And if I hadn't been told that this was your first game, I would have sworn you surely must have at least a couple more under your belt .
2022-03-13 01:32:07 +0000 UTCThere are just so many great qualities to point out from this project.. i was on the fence for the majority of the 1st episode, But from the 3rd act of the 1st episode the glue that will hold this title together for the future came together well.. Jump forward to Episode 2 - All i can say is whatever changes be it staffing, writing team or anything else that occured between 1-2 Keep it going.. Episode 2 is where things REALLY explode off the screen.. The humour is top notch.. The writing and story flows better than some TripleA or established fan fav titles out there.. There are so many moments in episode two from the cinematic opening to the other amazing cinematic cuts that make this title stand out from the others out there in this genre, The gun range scene had me literally crying with laughter and giving Alexa a character moment that made you love her even more for her sheer absent mindedness and clumsiness.. In most AVN's its always a challenge to 'choose your girl' and even though most of us run multiple playthroughs for such endings, It is even more so in this title.. The female roles are so well written from a female perspective instead of the typical male thinking like a female thought process in which they always fail by leaning to their own lust to see that character as a cheap slut with no character other than to be the meat thrown to the lions carnage.. The writing team on this title truly captures the womans perspective, issues and life problems.. be it from confidence issue to depression there is enough REAL emotion carried in this story and i cant wait to see what the future holds for this breakthrough title..

2022-03-12 16:20:56 +0000 UTCIt makes me very happy and even more excited to support a developer who takes this approach, especially a new one. I recently came across another game that I thought was interesting but the developer, while having a decent release schedule for the various teams, decided to put "side storys" locked solely behind the $20 tier or higher, which I personally believe is a mistake. It makes it feel as though there are gaps in the story and unless you fork over more money, you loose out on scenes that add to a characters development. It's like a worse version of what you were talking about with having two versions of the same game for different tiers, one with lewd scenes and one without. Personally. I think you're making the right decisions and would definitely cut down on your workload I would think. Either way, I love your game and can't wait to see what comes next!
