Happy Monday!
Pretty intense week juggling multiple things. While that sounds like complaining, I'm not. I like to think I perform better when my to-do list is stacked. First off, Artemis store page is now live on Steam. The release date shows Q1 2023, though the release is scheduled to go live on Jan 31st, 2023. I placed Q1 2023 in case I need a little more time to wrap up the Steam build. Because 80% of my attention is dedicated to CH5 development, and 10% is focused on Steam. Not a whole lot is left to do for Steam. Achievements, a trailer, and the actual build itself, which seems to be a small handful of adjustments to the code. Not to mention marketing. Once Book One is out the door for Steam, all of my focus can be on development until Book Two is complete, which is when Steam will get the second update.

I also got all the main characters shaders converted over to PBR. And with that, the new backgrounds are rendered for the DataLeak menus. Artemis has two; a re-rendered version of her in her pod after completing CH1. And it will update to what you see below after completing CH4.

You'll notice some are missing. I'll be squeezing in an additional slot for a mix of some girls. Unfortunately for Zoe, I had to make the tough choice of placing her in the backseat. This doesn't mean she's being cut completely. Her "date" was originally planned in CH3, but got moved to CH4 due to not having her model fixed. Squeezing her into CH4 felt out of place in terms of introducing her via a "date" and with how things are planned for Book Two in terms of events, I'm playing it safe by not trying to wedge a character in. With V, she's got core story content laid out, which we'll start to see unfold. And, of course, Cassie... I honestly wish I could see the global stats of what choices everyone makes with her, and regret not adding her to the poll. (I tried to update it but it did not let me.). But 1 out of 100 probably mentioned liking her and that was referring more to liking her as a villain, haha.
I did manage to meet my goal and chomp through the outline last week. This week is a holiday for us in the states, celebrating Thanksgiving. So, progress may feel a little short. But since I still have much of the script to write, I'll be taking that with me to work on.
That said, this week is a week of expressing thanks. And I have a lot to be thankful for. You guys have been amazing and I'm so grateful for your support. More so on top of supporting Artemis, but also my personal life. Last weekend I had my own Koko level crisis. Fortunately, it did not involve a bear, but my doggo suddenly became ill. Last Monday, I took him to the vet and learned he has diabetes and was in real bad shape. I was fortunate enough to be able to take a bit of Artemis funds to get him hospitalized. Last week was a rough adjustment, but just super thankful to be able to afford the hospital bill and also work from home where I can tend to him during the recovery period.
He's home and has the meds and extra care he needs. Doggo and I really want to express our thanks to you all.

Have a great week, and see you all next Monday!
And Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating!
