I've now finished all of the writing for 0.9, and the final word count comes in around 22,000 words, so it's definitely on the longer side. As you can probably guess from the above, I'm now in the most time consuming part of the process: rendering, so there isn't a great deal to say about that.
I mentioned last time possibly putting 0.8.1, with the minor fixes, QoL features, and improved renders up on patreon this week. But when I went back and started updating the music for the old content, I couldn't stop myself from tidying up a lot of the earlier script as well. As I said before, I'm not changing any of the content, just tightening up the writing and fixing grammar etc. All in all, I think I've probably made minor edits to around 10-15% of the lines in the early parts of the game so far - probably around a thousand lines changed in total, mostly in the 0.1 content.
Combine this with the new music, which I think greatly enhances a lot of the old scenes, and I'm really excited about the improvements!
So, getting back to 0.9, I'm hoping to release it May 5th - but given the length and the work I'm still putting in to get 0.8.1 finished, it could end up being pushed back a week or two. Having said that, I don't want to keep you waiting, because I think it's a really good one!

Forgot to say: the visual changed were noticeable and a definite improvement! Keep up the great work Cosy!

2024-04-05 18:39:15 +0000 UTCJust played through 8.1 as I always do on every update, and I had memorized the lines so well that I could tell which were different... Yes, it's this good. Amazing changes btw, small for the most part but very impactful for the story progression! Also there were plenty of tiiiiiny changes that just scream perfectionist to me... I'm certainly not complaining, but take care of yourself too Cosy, this game is already ridiculously good! Music wise, I mean amazing as always what can I say. And you can't stop me from playing through it all at least two more times before the next update hehehe
