About the Rift
The Rift is a major addition to the game. It's accessible by default, and allows you to play around with Noa's stats, party members, explore the garden, and fight almost everything. Of course, this comes with a lot of broken bugs, which I hope to fix soon, as it hasn't been thoroughly scrutinized or tested.
I'm not sure if I'm going to include it in the base game or leave it as a Patreon exclusive. It's largely meant to be a playground for routing and strategizing, but also just a place to break the game. Originally it was going to be DLC, but because translations have taken so long, it now exists in a mostly complete state.
It functions similarly to a dev room and is a remnant zone of the End Garden. I may update it to include sound tests and some lore, I don't know.
On the End Garden
Its scale became too big and I can no longer fit it into this game, nor can I reliably work towards it as the idea changed far beyond what I'm capable of. I think I may need studio support to get started on it.
The original idea for End Garden will be repurposed for the prequel chapter: Outpost, which has now been re-labelled as Thistlemine Graveyard.
It's a really damn cool idea, leaning further towards logistics, resource management, and a metric tonne of planning. If you've gone out of your way to beat Thistlemine Bouquet's true final boss, Fal Solas, that whole ordeal is essentially the prototype for Graveyard. The logistics will be more open-ended of course, as opposed to the strict route that Fal Solas demands.
Graveyard will be war, death, and poppy themed, taking place within the radius of the Old Civilization's many graveyards. It's Thistles and Poppies competing on top of ancient corpses. If you can understand what that entails using Victorian flower language, you'll know what to expect.
I hope to showcase a prototype soon.
