Final Days

Ironing out the bugs and finishing up what's necessary. May be done at the end of this month or early next month. I'll see if I can distribute the English version to Patrons early as its still being translated to Japanese, but in the mean time, this chapter of Thistlemine is concluded and just about ready to go.

There's still a few things to touch up like audio, a few attack animations, and maybe a couple QoL improvements. Besides that, there's really nothing left to do or add.

The game, somehow, features roughly 50 unique combat scenarios (not including route variations and hidden conditions) and also roughly 50 navigation puzzles (not including macro game puzzles and extra puzzles).

I'm quite satisfied with the final product, and I managed to do what I set out to do, albeit with a little more than intended.

Storywise, Thistlemine was originally planned to be something of a 5 chapter anthology, with "Bouquet" (this game) as the third chapter. I have plans laid out for "Outpost" (chapter 2) and "Cryojack" (chapter 4), though I'm not sure if I'll find the resources or the sponsor to pursue them. They're both more complicated than this one.

... "Clocktower" (chapter 1) and "Dreadnought" (chapter 5) are logistics strategy games, so it's unlikely I'll ever even find the resources to prototype those. But a man can dream, eh!

With some luck, there might be a chance to start development for Outpost or Cryojack. But the niche nature of the game will probably say otherwise.
