Hello everyone!
Sadly I had some health problems, which required me to visit multiple doctors. This took away a lot of my free-time to work on my game (and took away a lot of money). While the cause for the health issues have not been figured out yet, I'm already a lot better and back at work for the next update release!
Here is what you will be able to expect for the next Release, V0.1.0:
- A Save System:
This took a lot of time, because I decided to go the hard way and make saving accessible for everyone (Or at least I will hope it works for everyone). I decided to go with Cloud Saving, which makes it possible to save from playing in the Web as well. If I want to implement it, this might also enable logging in with an account and continue your run from a phone etc. You can have up to 3 different saves and the game will autosave between maps.
- Relics: A new Relics system, that awards player a relic after the first boss fight. Relics give either instant rewards (Gold, Cards etc.) or permanent buffs (start combat with Str or Mana etc.).
- Balance Changes: While balancing the game is and will be an ongoing challenge, I will try to make some bigger changes in this update if I have some time left. With this bigger update, the game should become more flexible for new additions and should remove some concerns from players.
State of the Update: I have mostly finished the technical aspects of the save and relic system (Still needs playtesting on different devices and potential bug fixing etc.). Next up will be the Art/description for the relics and the balance update.
