The Biggest Problem with Iray.

As I was trying to rush completion of my next comic, I figured out a potential solution to a long-standing problem I had.

Anytime I render something, it would prevent me from using most other software at the same time. I often would work in Blender while rendering and that created situations where I had the mesh done, but couldn't do texture work until the rendering was done.

So, what I've done is assembled another PC with older equipment that should be able to render most scenes, which frees up my main computer for other work. The machine has two older 8GB nVidia cards that renders faster than I thought I would, but the memory limit might be an issue.

Sharing the same DAZ content library was also an issue. I have to use third party software to keep things sync'd up via a NAS share so the same files can be used from machine to machine.

I've tried a few simple renders so there is potential there. The one issue is that it requires another keyboard and mouse (KVM was too expensive) and it's hard to juggle all of them.

First item is a rework of an older G3F item onto G8F. Had to change the UV map but it's just nice to have it on G8F.

Next up is going to be my latest wrestling ring. It operates quite differently than what I've had in the past and curious to see what people think. It makes certain actions easier, but it's no longer a single mesh, but a collection of grouped items.
