Messy May
Added 2025-06-03 16:31:20 +0000 UTCSeems the month of May was a bad one. Nothing major, so no disasters, but just enough little things happening to make a mess.
I did complete a wrestling image set for a friend, so I got something done, and a new "much more Asian" wrestling set to go with it. I'll be working on it more for EWF20, but for my Lust in Las Castigo event.
I started having tailbone pain that just wouldn't go away, then some sharp lower back pain to go with it. It was a very weird, very localized sharp pain that only happened with certain movements. I went out and bought a new chair and it made the lower pain go away, but the tailbone pain lingers still. Sitting around all day isn't helping matters. Age, weight and diet not helping.
There were also some family medical procedures done. So that came right in the middle of the month to help mess things up as I had to head out of town. I also had some rather expensive dental work done, so that didn't help.
Projects were so delayed that I think I ended up in a spiral. The more I got behind the worst the depression got, then fell further and further behind. It didn't help that I had a hard time to figure out the content for EWF19, the January magazine cover or what to do for EWF20. I do have an idea of what I want to do for July (EWF21).
Right now, I'm reworking the Misaki Toyoda outfit from the Strongest in the World anime that someone requested. That's going fairly well, the new suit seems much to have a slicker fit on Genesis 8 Female. I went back and got that old Misaki Genesis item and was definitely motivated to drastically update it. I got most of the suit done, but not sure what/how to fix the other items like the gloves, armbands and boots. I won't be able to preserve the UV layout though.
One of the things I'll be trying is to work more in Blender. A while back I did try to do a "Item Every Day" routine where I make something quick and dirty. Definitely returning to that and making various little props here and there.
I also have come to realize that I prefer making gear than making promo pictures and packing up the items into ZIP files.
It's so bad I totally lose track of stuff. I probably have a dozen things I can post but each time I update Blender my recent files gets erased so I guess it's time to start recording stuff in a spreadsheet or text file.
