Corporate Development Memo 0.6 Starts ! (10/24/2021)

Hi everyone!

I am updating this weekend to let everyone know I am getting ready to grind again!  I really appreciated a little time off to be able to relax and recharge, plus catch up on real work I had to neglect a little to focus on everything with the game!  I know it would be nice if I could dedicate even more time to Karlsson's Gambit each week, but to tell you the truth, I think it wouldn't be as good overall as a story if I was always grinding non-stop and not balancing life too!  So I appreciate the love and support, and patience!

But on to 0.6!  This week, I pretty much outlined most of the main plot points, and have a general idea what I want to accomplish with this update.  As always, the most challenging aspect is depth versus width.  (how deep each branch of a story can go but also being to cover a lot of choices as well)  I have always said I plan to winnow this a bit for 0.8, but 0.6 and 0.7 will be my most challenging in terms of complexity this way.

A minor spoiler!  0.6 will likely for the first time introduce the first short/optional ending for Kane!  Not going to expand on that, but just remember to save if you do really...err, poorly, haha!  I am not sure on this for sure yet, but it's very possible.

Ok, this week:  I am going to likely do mostly script writing, as I'm very excited to get started!  I think I will be able to do this one a little faster as I feel like my time is very balanced compared to before, but I do anticipate a little struggle for time in December (family visits/holidays) but I am aiming for a faster timeline than 0.5 to be honest.  I may do some renders as well, but I am trying to crank out a huge script dump for this week.  The script for 0.5 was over 60,000 words, but I am hoping this week (based on my outline) to crank out at least 5-7000 words!  Given the four starting possible scenes, it makes a lot of sense for me to write them all at once, although the first scene in 0.6 will NOT be Kane waking up in his starting location.  I actually have already done a few renders for that scene, just not counting it quite yet here.

Polls:  Doctor Chastain/Kane/Olivia poll comes out likely tomorrow, it will be short duration because I have to work on it soon for the month.  (likely a three day poll)

If you want to share any ideas for these three characters, feel free to send me something!  I've already got one from someone, and five of my own, so six so far, although I usually think of a few more right before I do a poll!

The other poll is about done, and I will work on the winning when it finishes as well.

I am not sure who celebrates Halloween, but it's actually one of my personal favorite holidays to "dress up" because I can get nice and sexy, haha!  So I'm looking forward to that next weekend!  

Other than that, I am feeling like I am about to get back into a good flow, and I am going to talk a lot more about 0.6 (especially the party scene coming up) in the near future as I put some thoughts together on it.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week, and I am happy to say the outline I worked on looks like it will be a fun update for 0.6!  I feel like I am beginning to learn about telling a story and doing scenes better, so I am very hopeful this update is even better!
