I mean, regardless of killing someone.... Dexter was about to drop from sleep deprivation. Because as shown, he's doing a lot of night duty. Take his extra curriculars out of the equation... and it is still negatively affecting his analyst work. And Rita doesn't seem to consider how that is impacting his very intense job. While she's home and getting sleep. The modern generation is so literal... it's just a turn of phrase, helping out, taking part, etc... And helping out is what happens when one parent is the main source of income at a demanding non 9-5, carryover shifts type of job. Rita could drive to the impound, and to his work, with Harrison... but not go to the pharmacy. As far as she knew Dexter was working an important case, but still calls him to interrupt.

2024-10-10 02:09:46 +0000 UTCI mean....he was literally in the middle of murdering someone when she asked that, so I don't think Rita is the issue there. If he wasn't chopping someone up, he very easily could've picked the meds up, as he's supposed to do as the other parent. It's not helping out when it's your own kid.

2024-10-09 16:54:13 +0000 UTCYeah but she had already seen Dexter from the night to morning... and he was fine. I get that seeing the wrecked car freaked her out. But it's not like he's working a regular office job... his work is crucial. And trying to go to Maria over him was really not cool.

She just saw the remains of the car accident that Dexter called a βfender benderβ and she wanted to make sure he not dying and to try and get him out of work to rest

2024-10-08 06:49:37 +0000 UTCSo Rita's capable of putting the baby in the car and ambushing Dexter at work... but was not able to drive to the pharmacy to pick up meds. Of course Dexter should help out, give her a break with the baby. But not in the middle of the night while she's been sleeping soundly for hours.

At least take turns getting up. I also didn't care for her showing up at his workplace to bitch at him.
