What an astonishing episode. Great moments, especially with Rory being in top form, and also the beautiful River. She is SO charismatic and mesmerising. The kids use the term "rizz" these days, and she has bucket loads. Such an incredible woman. Love her!

Great reaction, as always. One thing you may not have realised... In "Day of the Moon" River kisses the Doctor for the first time from his perspective. He says "You know what they say, there's a first time for everything." and after he breezes away she says "And a last time." When she kissed the Doctor to poison him it was the first time from her perspective...

And yes this run of episodes is so season-story heavy, learning more and more tidbits on the leadup to the finale its honestly an exciting (if not slightly confusing) era of the show! Seriously nothing will ever live up to the story of river song and piecing it all together, right from season 4 onward.

2024-12-18 22:50:41 +0000 UTCAmy named her daughter...after her daughter...only in Doctor Who 🤣 I also personally believe that the reason River had to use ALL of her remaining regenerations to save the Doctor is because when she kissed the Doctor, she was basically reinfecting him with the poison, which then had to be healed consistently. She basically sacrificed all her remaining regenerations to kiss the Doctor. Also, you mentioned wanting to go back and rewatch Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead. All I will say is don't. Not yet. There is a perfect future point to do this and we will let you know when this is. I won't say more than this as it's spoilers. Also, the "little girl" in the space suit that you referred back to, was already basically confirmed to be River. The child regenerated after Episode 2 due to starving on the streets. Mels said "Last time I did this, I ended up a toddler, in the middle of New York." So the little girl, is Mels/River. In the "A Good Man Goes to War" we got flashbacks to the little girl when the Doctor was working out that Melody was the little girl he had previously seen. When River was talking to the Doctor about how the child "forced her way out of the suit" etc, she was talking about her own younger self.
