Update #36 Grinder Finale

Because it's grander than last time! Maybe. It really sounds like Grindr finale, come to think of it. Ah well, I'm not coming up with another title.

The gang is entering the final boss room, just like I am entering the final stretch of making the episode. Every render and every animation is made, it's all added into Ren'Py, sound is mostly done. I've even done a big o'l spellcheck of all the dialogue for all episodes. Turns out I can't spell embarrassing... Which is embarrassing, thus making it ironic. I think.

I'm going to do a final play-test and a little bit of polishing, but if all goes well I should be able to release the game in a day or two. I think the phone gallery works as well, but I'll need to do the full playthrough to confirm that everything unlocks as it should.

Now, behold!

The dungeon boss! Gorgeous man he is. The sleeves clip through his hands pretty bad, but he's such a minor character that I just didn't feel the need to fix it. By Joe is he a specimen though.

As for the poll, Saranhil won again, and no one is surprised. I pretty much expected this to happen, so I already have a pretty good idea of what I want her big spicy scene to be. Next time I do this poll I think Saranhil won't be on the ballot, she's getting too far ahead of everyone else.

Tanathil got second, is that because she was created through the power of Democracy, or is it just because she doesn't have a proper scene yet? Who knows. She for sure needs a proper scene next episode either way, so that's on my to-do list.

Since this is the final update for this episode, have an extra little tease.

V is for Very good at training. What's the other V for? Uhh... Verisimilitude? I don't even know what that means, but I somehow spelled it correctly. Don't ask me to pronounce it.

There's actually over 80 renders for this spicy scene alone, which I didn't really plan to do. But it was a very fun scene to make, and I think it came out really well. 

The entirety of scene 11 came out at 173 renders, scene 12 has 14... I mean, scene 12 is more of a tiny epilogue, so it's not that weird, but it looks a little bit funny.

I'll probably do another set of polls soon, I'm thinking of having you guys creating another character through Democracy. It's not going to be a major character, but Ruru will presumably get her grubby hands on her at some point, so may as well make her look good.

My brain is getting a bit mushy now towards the end of an episode, I don't know if it's noticeable in the updates. I get excited about finishing, so I put way more hours into the game during the final two or so weeks. But it's not a sustainable pace for me, so I reserve it for when I'm extra motivated. 

Anyways, I don't think I have more to say today. Keep an eye out for the release.
