Cut Content - Lene x Maribel Scene

Still a bit behind since my death last week, so here’s some old cut content.

As it is with all these cut content, this is something very old. As soon as I finished the first Clarine x Lamir threesome scene, I went to do a Lene x Maribel. At first, I wanted to divide the main six into three duos, but I couldn’t do it, as Illyana just has no real connection to anyone other than Lene, and her relationship with Lene is more sisterly than anything. So instead, I’d just go with what I wanted to do, and the Lene x Maribel relationship is something that pops up a lot in their stories, but never really goes into details. I, uh, won’t go into details either. It’s not that hard to piece together what happened with them. I think it isn’t at least.

Just a quick rundown of where the scene would fit. And keep in mind, back then, we just had their first quests.

The player would try to fix Lene’s and Maribel’s relationship. Lene would hate the idea, but Maribel would be willing to do anything to get her close friend back on talking terms. After the player listens to both sides of the story and answers back, they would reach an agreement depending on the player’s previous actions. At the climax of the quest, Lene would give Maribel an ultimatum. “Let me inflict the suffering you made me feel, and I’ll forgive you. I’ll still hate you, but I’ll no longer hold what happened against you.”

Then the player had two options. Hop in and kinda join in on the fun, and the other was to leave. The hopping in part never advanced more than just it’ll happen, but it was the actual threesome, while the image up there would be the other option. The player would leave them alone to put their differences aside, and after getting bored waiting, he would go back inside and… see that. It was a bit convoluted, but it was right after the huge Maribel yoga scene, where there are lots and lots of different paths that lead to different outcomes, and I kinda wanted to do it again. There was also a third incomplete drawing from this set that I wasn’t able to find, where Lene would be on the door looking at the player with a used Maribel on the bed, inviting him in.

So, why is this cut content? Well, I did the drawing before pitching the scene idea to Zehmun, and he said it was awfully close to being ntr, mean-spirited (with Lene actually hurting Maribel in anger), and it just wasn’t going to work as repeatable content, and that was that. I also thought the drawings were quite subpar, and I’d probably need to redraw them anyway, so I didn’t fight back a lot and just let it go. Looking at it nowadays, it is quite out of character, but back then, all we had were the characters' first quests.
