Random Post #67 - Updating the Map

So, as I said before, I’m updating the map! 

And with it, comes the little snippets of info on each character. Age, height and whatnot. It's one thing that I actually really like messing around with. Before I design a character, I tend to decide how old the character looks, and their height. There are even some silly little things I enjoy writing down, like breast size, foot size… (For example, Lene is big all around, Lamir is medium all around, and Elinnie is small all around), So, most of the information on the map has already been decided before most of the characters even existed... One thing I kind of regret is adding weight. I dunno, I struggle a lot coming up with believable weights for the characters, and most feel like arbitrary numbers. I might nuke weights from the list of all characters.

As I found and moved the info on each of the characters that currently aren’t on the map, I noticed how… little there is on the info screen. It's just age, height, weight, occupation, hobbies, and family. The main six have a bit more on themselves, but it’s just that. It made me feel like writing a paragraph on each character, talking about something about them, but I’m unsure if anyone would really care, or if I’d have something interesting to write about everyone.

As I’m still working on it, I thought I could share what I’m doing. Any feedback on what could be added is welcome, and of course, it’s still a work-in-progress. There might be some inconsistencies, maybe. Like in-game, Celeste mentions she is 20. Probably a math goof from me because her age is linked to Elinnie's. Time for my yearly regret of not making Elinnie older.

Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be adding Therese, Falk or Bum-Bum to the in-game map. Neither has scenes, and as much as I want to add the fairy, she would just be every day on the exact same spot, she tells you she can’t leave at the tutorial. By the way, I was messing around the files, and remembered the last "?" in the map was supposed to be Falk, but she was never added because she didn't have a schedule.

About Her: A traveling merchant, taken in as a child by Elinnie. Ever since she was young, the only two things that brought her joy were spending time with Elinnie and reading fantasy stories about a better world.

In an attempt to be more like the characters in her story, over a plain orphan, she started speaking like the protagonist of her favorite book, “Celeste, The Starchild”, and acting as if she was the character herself.

Nameless

Age: ??? (She doesn’t know. Likely around 18)

Height: 1.42 m / 4’6 (Not counting ears)

Occupation: Homeless

Hobbies: Listening to the breeze, eating grass, taking long walks

Race: Half-Raccoon

About her: She was called Nameless by her fellow slaves and master back, but now free and living with you, she has a new name she adores to death.

Blind from birth, this poor girl was sold off by her parents who thought she was a cursed being. As a slave, she was tortured and made to suffer for fun. People who would come close to her would be heavily punished or killed, all to make the poor blind girl even more miserable and lonely.

Age: 21

Height: 1.91 m / 6’2 

Occupation: Ex-Goddess

Hobbies: Music, Dancing, Reading Adventure Stories, Watching Flowers Bloom, talking with flowers.

Known Family: Falk (Mother),

About her: Having the innate potential to be the Goddess of Love’s vessel, Kiria was kidnapped as a child and taken to act as the Goddess’s vessel. 

For years, she was paralyzed, forced to watch the Goddess's atrocities without being able to do anything. Over time, she started to hate all that the Goddess stood for, but because she was innately similar to her, even after freedom, she was still quite similar to the one she hated the most.
