As you might have figured out, I didn't get "In the Red Light Backrooms" typed up in time for the Halloween contest deadline. It's a bit too long and the opening required a fair bit of work to hack it into shape. When I realised I was being unproductive in trying to force it and wasn't going to get it done in time, I went back to the usual rotation system of doing multiple tasks in a day.
This meant I had some time to do some programming work on HoHH. I've updated Succuba to fix some things I missed with the release. The Black Rose now works even if the player does everything with her. I also changed the intro to each of the mini-scenes to make sense if Succuba picked it rather than the player.
I also fixed an old bug with Pix Decipula that might also have affected some of the older harlots. At some point I updated all the stats tests to go through a single point but might have left off assigning some of the arrays (charms or ailments) for the older harlots. I updated the tests to handle this at source and gave them some proper testing. This should remove some of the nasty error messages that might have been showing up previously.
These changes will go out in the v0.037 release at the end of the month (or start of next month if typing up "In the Red Light Backrooms" takes longer).
As for "In the Red Light Backrooms", fear not, you will be reading a new erotic horror short story sometime around Halloween. Unlike other ill-fated Halloween stories (I will finish that damn "The Ladies of [somefancyname]" story at some point), this one is fully written. The first draft is a little rough at the beginning, so took a little longer to bash into shape. The later sections don't need as much work and should flow a little quicker in typing up, I think. I'll keep typing it up and post it here when it's done. It'll be at the same time I submit it to Literotica, so you'll get it a couple of days early.

Yep. That was it. Someone sent me a screenshot through email and I replicated it right away. I forgot to initialise an empty array to represent charms that would override failure (none in this case), so the for loop threw an error when trying to determine array.length. I just updated all the tests to create an empty array if the array parameter is null. That should fix in any other places I might have missed.

2022-10-23 19:37:06 +0000 UTCThere should be one new harlot. I've not finished the dancing lamia scenario, so it should be the blue-skinned suckerboob. I've made some pretty good progress on the short story today, so I'm hoping I'll be able to type up and implement suckerboob next week in time for the end of the month (although that might slip by a day or so, depending on other things). Amoura is near the top of the list. I'll be writing either her or dancing lamia in the week. Assphyxia is part of the quest lines, so she'll be later but will likely be the first of those as I've already done Mamilla's extended scenarios.
