You have dreams and goals in this big open sea...but it really is dark down here at the bottom of the ocean...too bad you don't have a light. Speaking of which, there's that creepy girl again. The one that's been following you for a few days now. For some reason she really wants your attention- is it because you're ignoring her? Whatever, you need to hide!
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have a nice and relaxing weekend :D This audio took me a while to finish but in a good way! I've never been the best at putting together water sounds but I had a lot of fun with this one. I really wanted to give it a creepy/deep ocean vibe, so I hope that comes through! ^_^
I mentioned this in my last post but whenever I make a monster girl character I like to learn about the animal/creature they are based on. Let's just say that anglerfish are...interesting xD There are plenty of videos on them if you're interested, but the rundown is this: male anglerfish are very small and can't see. Their whole point of existence is to basically find a female to "attach" to, literally. The are basically parasites that live on the female's body forever haha! Creepy but interesting, right?

Uhh I don't want to spoil too much if you're gonna look into them but I do want to kinda explain since I've been pretty vague lol. So I'll list a few facts to hopefully entice you to make it sooner and you can put them together later with more research. Hyena society is matriarchal, females are larger than males and dominate them, and females also have something called a pseudo-penis.

I honestly don't know much about them so I'm excited to look into it. My original thought was to have a cute girl who laughs but maybe I'll change my mind :D

I like me and my friends being alive thank you very much. But like Yuno from Future Diary is great or even like Toga from My Hero if she counts are very good in their own stories... far away from me. Also from all I know about Hyena's I'm not sure I would want to be a male stand in for that character either lol but I would still enjoy the video regardless!

I thought, "This is like some alien shit" lol xD Once I found that out I felt I had to go the yandere route. To be honest though, I'm not the biggest yandere fan either. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but if I don't write them in a certain way I find myself getting a little bored. But that's just me though, there are definitely some cool yandere characters in anime and shows that I love. Writing them myself is just a different vibe haha! It's funny you brought up a hyena because I've had that on my list of future character ideas for a while now :D

I also got to learn a bunch of cool things about this species so that's always a plus. Being able to incorporate some cool facts about the animal or creature is honesty the most fun part to me. It's like learning and writing a story at the same time- very fun! I've learned a lot from making monster girl audios lol. It might be a strange way to learn but hey, I'm here for it! :D

2023-07-30 00:17:27 +0000 UTCI'm really glad you enjoyed it! I really wanted to push the hide and seek vibe but in a creepy way lol. It took me a few hours to get the background sound just right. I've used it a few times in other audios, but I tried to mess with the intensity and sounds a bit more- and of course the little splashes hehe :P I watched a few videos before I wrote this character, and I still can't get over how weird I find these things. There's something so disturbing but interesting about the fusion thing to me. One video I watched said something about it maybe being possible to learn some medical things from these fish but as you said, that's for people way smarter than me to figure out! xD

As a kid Hyenas were my favorite animal so I found out all about what's going on with them at a younger age than most people I think lol, Hyenas are still pretty high on my list but I love African Civets now, they little handsome creatures.

Nice work on creating the sense of suspense in this roleplay. I remember first learning about angler fish from a nature documentary/show and how odd yet interesting they are.

Thank you and Secular for bringing this wonderful angler fish fact to my attention as I was able to tell my friends on discord and share this cursed knowledge. One of them said "It's fucking insane that this is a real creature that we share this planet with. That sounds like a made up creature mating habit" which I found funny, it really does sound like an alien or some shit. I'm not the biggest fan of Yanderes but I did enjoy all the sounds in this video a lot and also all the stuff I learned!

2023-07-29 12:02:56 +0000 UTCThis was was really good I think your water sounds are pretty good also the scary ambiance you choose really reminded me of like an empty bunker or laboratory or underground facility even underwater which I loved great choice. Also love character design that's always my favorite when you got a new video I'm always guessing as to how you'll draw the character and you always hit the mark or get a really unique Design. Animal biology is super interesting and fascinating like it's weird sometimes but it's just so interesting to see how different animals adapt to their environment and alot of animals look alien but they have just adapt sometimes werid ways to survive. I always remember this one quote I don't remember who said it but it went something like "everywhere we think we might not find life we find it thriving" or something along those lines expect for space but we never know. Also one more thing I abousltelty love the fact you research the animals you do for your videos it gives so much more depth to your videos and makes them truly one of a kind.

Interestingly enough, the only way the whole fusion mating thing works is that the anglerfish lacks core genes that identify and reject foreign tissues and stuff. The closest analog for humans would be an organ transplant, in which our immune system will reject an organ without taking immunosuppressants. So for the anglerfish species that do permanently fuse, and especially for the species that fuse with multiple males, in order to mate successfully they are extremely immunodeficient by nature. It’s a bit of a mystery as of now how they manage to stave off pathogens lacking a proper immune system but hey that’s for people way smarter than me to figure out haha I think you killed it with this one, felt like I was being hunted in the inky black depths (in a good way?) that ambiance used in the background really set the tone
