If you wanna keep your # anonymous you can make a Google Voice account and it’ll give you a different number to choose from. But avoid trying to do that and stick to asking to do Zoom/Teams calls instead.

It will get rid of anything malicious and you will be ok. Good call on changing your passwords. Setup two factor authentication if you haven't already. Locking your credit file is also an option if you're concerned about anything getting opened on your name. Source: I work in IT.

But why did you open the zip file?!? Nah Im kidding lol, but seriously sometimes things like that happen so we can improve ourselves, I guess? Its gonna be ok 😉

2024-05-17 15:49:34 +0000 UTCRun malwarebytes and virus scan on the zip file and computer. Lucky it was a PO Box and not home address but you can use your phone to block numbers. As far as embarrassment, can go with the “ it didn’t work out, I disagreed with them” and future sponsorship opportunities, have a friend you trust look over them to see if they can spot any sketch stuff you may miss. Wishing you the best and hopefully this is the end of it
