I assume he was either hypnotized from the start, or, Viktor is trying to get rid of him now by doing this to him. At the end of the last comic, it seemed like Viktor was no longer interested in him. I kinda hope Eli leaves so that Viktor gets his wish and also finds out when Eli isnβt around anymore.
