Chaotic democracy: Next month's rewards

I'd like to ask you

what sort of rewards would you like to see in the next months?

Vote on the themes listed below!  The top voted ones will be made, and d20 will choose between the other options and suggestions to be a bit chaotic.

I'm sure you also have a lot more ideas, so

feel free to comment this post to bring in more options!  (and ❤ the ideas were added by others in the comment section)

I'll ask you in another poll to see which official WOTC modules you play.

Thank you! ( This poll allows more responses per person. )

Would really love to see a library included if you end up creating more interiors.

Tossing out the idea for Dwarven Environments. Citadel, Mines, City, Forge, Ore Vats, etc... The Maps could be created with the intention to stack Vertically ie: Digging deeper "Under the mountain". Thanks and Keep up the great work!

Casey Gomez

My 2 cents. 1. Make maps we dont already have. Like many vote city, because an animated city that can be put together i various ways, to fit our size would be awesome. But also other stuff, that are not including forest, river and bridge :D Think out of the box. Where are the maps with treetop houses, belly of a whale, thieves guild hq, other guild hq's, sunken building and other underwater stuff etc etc. 2. Take ordinary map types, and include something crazy, strange or just interesting. Maps that inspire events, stories etc. Like: - City wall, but with a dead dragon crashed into it. - River bridge, with a big circle of dead bodies - Sewer, with a lot of blood - City dock, with a ship that plowed up on land into houses - Forest with a real troll, hag, witch home - Farm, in full fire - Small village under attack, fire and corpses - Cathedral where a bloody ritual is over or going on, gutted victims hanging in their skin - give some gore to shock the group. - Any normal city, turned evil, dead with pikes with corpses, and hanging bodies. - Graveyard, that is not clean, but strewn with blood and corpses. - Ice river, where a huge giant corpse is on or under the ice - Take your normal maps, and add something chocking to them like blood, gore, corpses, fire, acid, ice or war debris. 3. Ok I wrote 2, but really would love more tokens and effects.

Jesper

I'd kind of like to see overland maps. That is, larger maps that show a whole region. Since your forte is animation and sound, you could animate such a map with clouds, weather patterns, a day/night cycle, etc.. You couldn't use copyrighted material like the Sword Coast, but you could make generic coastal areas, inland areas, desert and mountain areas, etc.

Dave the Software Guy

Jungle! As far as I can see, we miss those vibes at the moment ;)

How about some props and effects to individualize the maps better for our manifold needs?

How about some wild west maps? I play Deadlands and would love some for that. Thanks for all the beautiful work you do!

How about an animated version of a heroquest board for all of us nostalgia kids!

Tony Quinn

i have made a few by cutting and overlays in adobe premier.. :)

calvin Streeting

check the warships post, it has ships as props so 2 can be placed. :)

calvin Streeting

I lack elements for modular dungeon rooms, such as small stairs, stairways, rock slides, debris, small suspended bridges, and rooms with different floor levels in the same environment. To be able to reproduce more closely the dungeons of the ready-made campaigns, such as "The lost Phandelver mine". Since in the original source material everything looks colorful, fluffy, naive, and designed by a child, making losing the epic mood. The sophisticated look and sober climate that the Dungeon Dynamic Editor program allows, would leave everything more adult, but it looks like it turns out to be more functional for authoring storybook dungeons. I am already the type of Master who works, studies and takes care of the children, in the short time that I have left I prefer to go straight to a ready adventure. Of course, it would not be necessary to duplicate dungeons, castles, caves, and cities exactly the same as field books, but a few key elements and rooms could be created to join the modular system to replicate or approximate by reintegrating the original maps. This is a positive and sincere criticism, because in any way I find the work done here incredible.

Wagner Bonilla

I'm new so maybe I just haven't seen it yet, but I'd like to see 2 ships of various sizes and types side-by side to use for ship-to-ship sea battles.

Gavin Lawrenson

More modular tiles for dungeon crawling. FX and props as well.

A corpse littered battlefield and a smaller scale encounter type with fewer bodies, oh and don't forget the carrion :)

Michael Taylor

I still think a wizards tower and the inside the belly of a beast would be cool 😎

Laird Krug

Or an artificer workshop. Eberron style.

I'd love to see battle torn cities and villages.

How about futuristic, cybercity. starship?

YES!!!

Justin Driscoll

Would love a whole city of Silverymoon or something, probably an intense project, but copying buildings and streets shouldn't be too hard I imagine.

Bryson Arvanitis

Ditto on that! My DM is running Storm Kings Thunder. For our last session I introduced my tv-table and collection of awesome DD maps! EVERYONE drooled over them. But we only ended up using the DD maps for a few 'random' encounters. He wanted to use the official (static) Storm King maps because of specific locations and rooms etc.

ScooterNH

Hey! Love what you are doing. Could we get something crazy like a cloud giants Cloud Castle or potentially something with air ships since we now have the boat in the mix

Can I pick them all😊

Your work is truly amazing! I play weird wild west games often and would love to see anything adaptable to American Old West themes such as : dusty abandoned town with a few buildings and tumbleweed rolling by, western themed buildings such as saloon, jail, bank, hotel/brothel, general store. Desolate canyons with circling vultures. possibly continuous scrolling scenes of a dirt roadway (like your moving cool water maps) with stagecoach or wagon props, or the same idea with scrolling tracks and steam train.

ScooterNH

More drool cool exotic suggestions: 1) A caravansery (caravanserai) along an imaginary Silk Road in a fictious Middle Eastern/Ottoman/Persian setting. 2) A huge exotic Middle Easterny mosque with minareth, marvelous mosaic-laden floors, gardens and sacred to a sun god (or similar). 3) A large ancient library based on the Ancient Egyptian library island of Alexandria, full of books, forbidden tomes, scholars and intrigue 4) A Middle Eastern/Ottoman bazaar, inspired by Istanbul or medieval Damascus 5) A smuggler's base hidden in the river delta of an imaginary Nile or Tigris river 6) A tribe of strange mysterious people living in reed houses in a swampy part of a river delta (based on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marsh_Arabs) 7) A river port and harbour inspired by the Punic/Phoenecian city of Carthage!

Anders Bersten

I would like a farm exterior complete with farmyard noises.

Michael Taylor

I would love something in the style of ancient Greek. But that might be because I am preparing for the Odyssey of the Dragonlords supplement. 😉

Jan Schattling

Yes I think it will appear as a reward soon maybe as a part of a wizard college. For versatility I think it should be cut out from the surrounding environment (like the magic shop was) to be able to use in various settings. So it should be only the interiors. What do you think?

Dynamic Dungeons

Love this idea. Thanks for all the great work, keep it up!

Bryan Schulz

YES. Theaters can be used for town gatherings, political events, all sorts of scenarios that pesky PCs could cause trouble!

joel eckel

Was hoping to see "Tower" or "Wizards Tower" as one of the options. I think it would be versatile and used in lots of games! Please consider

joel eckel

Great idea to get our votes on this. Fun to imagine many of these - was hard to limit my votes to six.

joel eckel

All are great options, but Eberron needs some love!

Anthony Deaver

Agree with Nick. Wider hallways in modular elements. More towns, and buildings variety. Revisit older town maps with no roofs. Love the Dragon’s Lair. Would love to see a hoard of gold. Want to see more drop in effects. Spell effects, spell ranges like cones.

Ryan Hipp

For the Dragon's Lair, we can have a generic one or maybe a generic one with variants for the different colors In D&D, depending on their race dragons have very different lifestyles and their lairs show it If you're interested you can learn so much and in a very fun way about the different dragons with this youtuber series on it https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-Tj3kmYOOy2OVjoqTO8joausM-6JjcI-

This one ain't easy but it'd be so beautiful and fun Mechanus

I'd love to see some dungeons with corridors wider than two squares! Makes it tough to justify the huge-sized villains that sit at the end of all of those corridors.

Something like a Theater (think the Globe Theater in England) or stage productions with an audience chamber, and back stage areas would be cool for something to do where the Bard doesn't feel useless.

Justin Driscoll

Fire Giant, Duergar fortress/city...a metal and fire enviroment!

Giacomo

Thank you, fairy lands will be created for sure. Wizards college is a great idea!

Dynamic Dungeons

Modern interiors and exteriors, please!

Really would be good to get anything in the desert, and yes definitely need a Dragon Lair.

Loved the Shadowlands map. Would still like a Feywild/Fairy Lands map. I'd love to see a wizard's college, maybe building by building (library, classrooms, laboratory, lecture hall, etc...). Also, one of your early maps was a small walled village spread across two maps. I'd like maps like that that gave us the complete village. Still, when all is said and done, I find that I have an inexhaustible need for roads, streets, and taverns. I don't think there is such a thing as too much of these. They just come up so often that no matter how many I have, I'm still recycling too much.

Lou Anders

Any chance you could do a Spell Jammer Ship to ship combat map?

I'm about to be in the Shadowfell and Air Elemental Plane! Would love to see any versions of either or both :D

How about a series with large, long, modular castle walls? All connected on separate maps to protect a possible city and its inteiror. With guard towers, broken walls to simulate an invasion, open and closed gate, and a large entrance courtyard, serving as the standard for any city we want to set. It would be interesting that in addition to the classic daytime and nighttime maps, we had a series with storm, mist. And an area of a few meters in front of the walls with green plain, dry ground, desert, snow ... to prepare a siege.

Wagner Bonilla

A gothic town, with mansion?

T3nac1ous

So, I don't know if this would ever be an option or not... But is it possible that we might someday get some additional map options for games outside of the D&D/ Pathfinder genre? For example, modern city streets or warehouses, or even sci-fi settings?

Jeff Arnold

I think a temple to a generic dark god, and light god, or maybe one in ruins. I’m currently running a Castle Strahd campaign and I haven’t found any good dark Gothic themed temples/churches to use as maps for my players.

More town related scenes: blacksmith, tannery, smokehouse, tailor WOTC: Storm King's Thunder & Out of the Abyss

The ravenloft castle would be my number one pick!

Eric Smith

There's already an arena set!

Eric Smith

Ravenloft haunted mansion or Darksun gladiator arena

I agree, so this is something I’ll definitely make soon.

Dynamic Dungeons

I like all the content for large cities but I think there is a gap of content missing for small towns or villages.

How about something like a big fancy ball room? Maybe for a masquerade ball at a caslte or manor for some fancy party?

AoE gifs would be fantastic!

Court (enza.cos.props)

Ok, so I’ll add other adventures as options to the next poll, every suggestion is really appreciated for that poll’s options. Thank you

Dynamic Dungeons

Not running any wotc, but Pathfinder's Giantslayer maps would rock!

Cris Jesse

What about making scenes with the insides of buildings mapped out, and then having roofs to match as removable props? I think that would be so stinkin' cool!! Same for secret caves or secret underground rooms!

Cris Jesse

Agree with sara wermelin, some space stuffs :)

I think you missed an option...I want it all!

Adam Kaupisch

Stuff for us Spelljammer nerds! Space, ships and celestial bodies!

We need hell scapes for Decent into Anvernus!

Deathtothemortals

Good idea thank you!

Dynamic Dungeons

Thank you, very good idea, I’m so inspired!

Dynamic Dungeons

I will ;) for sure, I also need it at every session.

Dynamic Dungeons

Would love some Swamps, but getting ready to do Undermountain. Wish we could get a complete set of those maps (massive). The Dungeons geomorphs is probably as close as it gets.

Scott Dillin

I, too, would love to see Elven cities and villages with houses in trees etc.

Tolen

Surely more will come, thank you for the suggestion!

Dynamic Dungeons

Oh I forgot to add the elven outpost which was built on a tree. I think we all want to see how that would come out. Greek styled temple is a good idea. Thank you

Dynamic Dungeons

Modular ship interiors please! My players love doing pirate and smuggler types with both sea and airships. Having some customizable interiors for those maps would be fantastic.

Taylor Weston of the 41st

I hope I'm not alone in wanting some sci fi backgrounds. Stations with working displays, Casinos with holographic tables, maybe some planetary battlegrounds with impact craters, or alien jungles with glowing plants. Also I'd like the idea of a moving background like a road or a trail - so we could use the perpetually moving background for horse or chariot battles. EDIT: oh, and I'd love some AoE .gifs, like smoke, auras or radiant circles. Anyway - whatever you do, it will be awesome!

Heinz Kreienbaum

Btw hi! New supporter here. These have been fantastic and both my DM and I are supper excited about implementing these once I finish my coffee table/tv table build.

Asian/monk temple, samuraïs themes will be great! Some battlefields too

Dragon lairs!! With loads of treasure in it!

Voted for the Dragon's Lair (as many others have as well, I see), but what would be really cool would be to have a lair for each chromatic dragon type... ie, an ice cave for a white dragon, an underground mountain lair for a red, a dark overgrown forest for a green, etc, etc... regardless love the work, man, congrats with all of the success!

Matt Deller

I'd love some sort of Ruby world with a middle eastern influence to the design.

Gimme them Generic empty floors!

Kareem Zaimere

Great options! I wouldn’t mind some more weather effects if possible: autumn leaves/wind.

John Z

In a more specific way, I'd love to see some elven city stuff, both wood elf (rope bridges, treehouses, etc) and more "Rivendell" type maps. It'll be too late for this current campaign but I'm sure you'd make it amazing.

Kevin Sullivan

I love the ship maps, and would love to see some similar maps with smaller/different style ships

Id love (one day) a Greek Styled temple scene. Hopefully not alone in this. Also, maybe some more Elven themed maps.
