Death Note #7 Reaction Early Access!

Comments

In the beginning, you maybe, MAYBE could have argued that Light's intentions were noble. I personally completely disagree with his methods, but the debate could have been made he had good intentions. By now though, he's nothing more than a monster, a psychopathic serial killer. He's killing innocent and good people, but worse, he seems to take genuine sadistic pleasure in killing them. Utter scumbag.

Dale Denton

Ugh, some cunt stole this video and uploaded it

TbcAlex

Finally!!! my fav 2 episodes <33333 complete! the word play in this one aasanfkffdsihugf

Matis

yeah thats what i meant, the time he laughed right before she gave her true name. I thought it was because of her death date, but that makes sense that it was a natural death date that shows

Cinthia Fernandez

Wrong. Ryuk was laughing when she gave a fake name, because Ryuk can see her REAL name. Watching Light flounder a bit when the death note didn't work was downright comical to him.

Qrowe

I think Light is terrible person and a villain for killing all these people. However since it's just a tv show, I'm still rooting for him. I find him to be a very interesting character, especially since he is both the villain of the story as well as the protagonist.

Zack

I seriously do not understand comments like this LOL unless you're jk and I'm too dense. Light was awful

Ana

The death date doesn't account for the death note, it's natural lifespan only, suicide or accident or death through any unnatural end can't be predicted by the shinigami eyes, only how long they'd live should nothing happen to them.

Ashley Jamieson

I think the lifespan shown is the lifespan without supernatural interference. Writing a name in the note gives a shinigami whatever life they had remaining when the death note is used, so it wouldn't have been affected when light wrote her name.

Ashley Jamieson

She means the time he laughs before she dies near the end

Jonathan baez

No, he was laughing because he could see instantly that the name she gave to him was a fake, and because Ryuk isn't loyal to Light and is only being entertained by him, he was amused by Light's struggles to figure it out. Then when the final time it was over Light having hooked her with - you should join the task force' again Ryuk reacted purely from amusement.

Lailonniel-EleneiRose

Ryuk was laughing because I believe he can see a person's lifespan and her's would have suddenly changed because of what Light did

Cody Chapman

I think maybe Ryuk realised the moment she became emotional and started with the "please let me!" stuff, that Light had the upper-hand and would be able to get the name off her.

Mattman

Well in fairness I think episode 2 was the episode meant to show despite good intentions that Light wasn’t really someone the audience should be rooting for. Trying to kill someone for criticizing you then taking joy when it appears you succeed kind of makes it clear he basically going to be a tyrant if he wins.

Jjop017

It is confirmed that the Death Note works outside of a person's "natural lifespan", so the numbers above a person's head will not change, no matter what happens with the Death Note.

Ryan Kosier

Ryuzaki is a fake name that L gave to them. He specifically said to them the previous episode - "Call me Ryuzaki from now on." You guys should talk less during this show. Every piece of dialogue is important.

ODIS

WTF indeed :)

ODIS

My theory: Ryuk's laughter is either because he realized where Light was going with his plan, or, and this is the one I prefer, that woman's life span suddenly shrank and he could see it with his eyes and realized that Light's plan worked.

Andrew Reise

L and Light really are a lot alike--they're both highly intelligent, manipulative, isolated, unempathetic, ruthless, obsessed with pursuing their idea of justice.

Jen A. Blue

The point of the snow and Aizawa putting up his umbrella was just a moment to cause tension as well as reinforce a point made throughout much of the show: Light is lucky.

Dwain Kowalske

I mean, if you were ever supporting him in the first place, I guess?

Jen A. Blue

Thanks :)

BruLee

He's real smug about it too, really feeding his ego after the win there.

JR

I️ thought he was laughing like crazy bc he noticed her death date change after she decided to trust light.

Cinthia Fernandez

This was the moment when you’re supposed to stop supporting Light, I think. This was the first kill which wasn’t just a murder, but also pointlessly cruel.

4mation

So, while I've always considered Light a villain, I still rooted for him the entire show. However this episode always kinda bothered me. I'm glad he won without using the eyes, but it was still really sad, especially the way he started gloating at the end. At least it's a reminder the Light is a real bastard........Team Light Forever!

Zack

i hate her death

Burooj Ahanger

IrishNexus
