I am just hoping that the show somehow connects Ollie's behavior from now in the flashbacks to when he gets back. He was acting pretty traumatized and island trained. So either they find a clever way of doing that, or just say he faked it which would be annoying.

I'm thinking that with kovar now there. Something will happen that makes Ollie miss the boat anatolie sends 2 days later. He is then stuck there for months until a new boat comes by which is what we saw in season 1. I'm thinking this mainly based on how the timeline of arrow works where episodes are mostly set in equal time to the real world days. Meaning it is May when he got back to the island just now and he wasn't rescued until October back in season 1

Really in the comic's he is drawn that way you almost half expect it. In smallville you got use to a clean shaven Oliver Queen. If I were going to fight the looks of anyone it would be the flash "He should be blond !" but I like this flash .

Why not? He can ask the first people he meets for a razor, even the fishermen or whatever who are going to get him off the island. After that, he can throw away the fake beard and nobody will ever know. Ingenious. ;)

i'm sure he can make an argument for why he has short hair, but i find it difficult to cut your beard without cutting your skin a few times. also, i'd have prefered for the bones to be moira's, oliver and thea would have gotten so pissed and it could have been an episode of them trying to go for the kill and the rest of the team trying to capture him and put him in prison

Not an issue, Arrow is the world where Human Target can look like anyone so why couldn't they have hair and a beard that looked real enough to fool people, plus he would have been the one to shave not someone else.

For me I feel like this is just yet another of the many slaps in the face the showrunners and writers have given to the fans. It's utter rubbish. Total bullshit. And it's just bloody awful writing.
