Make-Up SFX Test - Practical Hair Application Test
Added 2025-05-20 20:17:02 +0000 UTCThis test marks our first experiment with the application of "hair growth" in the style of American Werewolf in London - that is, taking the most amount of the hair effect we could apply and then gradually reducing, reversing the order of the shots in an edit.
This is purely in camera with no additional post work added, baring a quick colour grade for presentation.
Turns out, this kind of make-up application takes HOURS, and so it's pointing us in the direction that pre-made suits might be needed for the actual filmed scenes.
Comments
The other physical changes are a much bigger concern when it comes to what we can get in camera - this is just a singular component of a much larger overall effect. But thanks for the feedback.

I realize there are no SFX shots in this scene, but maybe in the future, you can utilize a muscle suit. For me, when it comes to hair/fur in TFs/werewolves, less is more. Awesome job, overall!
