Patreon Update: Exciting News About Our Latest Demo Update!

Hey everyone!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve finalized all the content for the update to our free demo of DigiDaki! This update will be the last free one for a while, except for any necessary bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, which will continue to be passed down to the demo. For those of you who are new to DigiDaki, here’s a little introduction:

DigiDaki is a Digital Body Pillow, a digital companion designed in the spirit of a dakimakura. Whether you’re snuggling up in bed or relaxing anywhere comfortable, your companion is here to offer comfort and companionship like no other. Lucario can be the strong protector you need, the comforting presence when you’re down, or even the playful partner when you need to escape the world’s troubles.

Main Features of the Demo:

• Full Voice Acting: Enjoy fully voiced dialogue for both male and female Lucario, brought to life by our talented voice actors.

• Facial Animation: Lucario now features realistic lip-syncing, blinking, and multiple expressions to enhance immersion.

• Automatic Dialogue: Set the dialogue to play automatically at a set interval, or prompt it manually by tapping the screen. The interval is adjustable in the settings.

• Sleep Timer: This feature allows you to set a timer for your device to enter sleep mode after a certain period, in addition to your device's standard settings.

• Colour Blindness Filters: We’ve included scientifically accurate colour blindness filters to accommodate different severities and types of red-blue-green deficiencies. Learn more about how this works here.

• Windows & Android Support: Currently, we can support both Windows and Android devices (Android 12 & newer).

• Linux Support: Now you can play it on your ancient ThinkPad.

• Apple Silicon: Extremely experimental, we don't have a Mac to test it. If it doesn't work, please click here for a permanent solution

• Customisation Options: Tailor your experience to suit your preferences.

Customisation Options Available:

• 4 Personality Modes: Choose from Submissive, Balanced, Dominant, or Switch.

• 2 Outfits: Pick your favourite style for Lucario.

• 2 Skins: Customise Lucario’s appearance.

• 2 Genders (Male and Female): This affects Lucario’s body and voice.

• Lore and Biography: Access detailed information about your chosen customisation options and learn more about Lucario's origins.

Known Issues:

• Android Build: Currently experimental and may have some unknown issues.

• Lip-syncing Mismatches: Some lip-syncing may not perfectly match the audio. If you notice this, it’s a quick fix once reported.

• Potential Soft Locks: Previous soft locks due to Lua logic errors have been fixed, but if you encounter this, please let us know!

• Spooky Unknown Source Popup: You might get a warning saying this is from an unknown source. We don't have a code signing licence to prevent the notification from showing because it costs A LOT OF MONEY. This warning, however, is free.

What’s Next for Existing and New Patrons?

• Community Polls: Participate in polls to help us decide on new dialogue, cosmetics, features, and characters!

• Intimate Artwork Toggle: We’re adding a toggle in the settings menu for more intimate artwork, so you can customise your experience as you see fit.

• Outfit Customisation: Soon, you’ll be able to ask Lucario to remove or put back on parts of their outfit at will.

• Expanded Dialogue Pools: The demo includes only 1/3 of the planned dialogue. We’re adding two new dialogue pools for the half-clothed and naked states, featuring more intimate and personal dialogue where Lucario opens up more to you.

• Custom Greetings & Voice Lines: New custom greetings and voice lines will be added for both male and female Lucario, retroactively applying to any existing tier rewards as we collect them.

Bug Fixes

Bug 1: Male line for female Lucario greeting fixed

Bug 2: I royally screwed up here. I would choose a random line from all the untouched lines by generating a random number. That number would match the index of a line. I accidentally set the maximum range for this number to be ALL RESPONSES, not just the untouched ones. Every line increased the odds of a crash, on every platform. This has now been fixed.
