I've recommended Hachi to the ladies once before, Curtis (relatedly along with My Dog Skip), so they've got it listed as one to eventually watch.

S_Vive

It's a small world after all.

Kris Homeniuk

I watched this movie with my family as a kid. It was a formative experience.

AnnaSama

Completely different kind of movie but Hachi: A Dog's Tale felt that way for me.😭

Curtis House

Another amazing foreign movie to watch is Pan's Labyrinth. It's another masterpiece!

Chris

As an Italian supporter of you I want to thank you for watching this masterpiece in Italian, I understand that to translate Benigni in English is quite a challenge but I am happy you enjoyed it anyway (sometimes he plays with the words while speaking but it is hard to give the same impression in another language) The lead actor, Roberto Benigni, is indeed a peculiar person, energetic and funny, he has this rare talent to be able to perform the most silly joke and 2 minutes later say something really deep and soul touching. I enjoyed to live again with you the emotions this movie blooms, despite that very horrible part of my country's history

Gianluca

Let's not forget, there are places in the world right now where people are going through the same thing. Sadly, genocides and concentration camps did not end with WW2.

Prometheus

Native American reading a comment about Vietnamese girls reacting in English to an Italian movie about jews 🤣

Daryl

This movie vibed with me. The tears couldn't stop 😭

Daryl

Calm down Mort

Kyle Turman

If you are interested in another foreign movie, “Amelie”. It’s a French movie and is beautiful, but also a bit fun (although not a comedy)

fan

Wut? Nothing personal or attacking anyone at all brotendo. Why are you so highstrung? It’s all good man. 🤙

Tyler T

Ban Imperial Mort

Kyle Turman

Well done with the personal attack

Imperial Mort

HARD MEN CREATE STRONG TIMES STRONG TIME CREATES HARD SOFT HARD SOFT CREATES CONFUSED HARD MEN

Tyler T

Um ok…

Tyler T

I don’t think so~ 💅

Tyler T

Saying things like that is why you will never be the proprietor of a cowboy bebop-themed Beef Rad Nah restaurant in Phnom Penh

Tyler T

At least I don’t have to met my academic advisor to review my papers. Did you graduate high school during the pandemic and got passed along ? Also, you take it back about my water, dude. Not cool.

Tyler T

🤓

Tyler T

My water is not weak. Take it back!

Tyler T

😭😭😭

Tyler T

😭

Tyler T

Jar Jar Binks has a black Caribbean accent, sir.

Tyler T

Keep this up, and one thing is for sure: you will never be the proprietor of a Dragon Ball-themed pho restaurant 15 minutes away from Universal Studios in Orlando.

Tyler T

@Tyler T I really want to check out The Brutalist, but will wait for it to hit streaming because I don't want to sit for 4 hours in a theater tbh.

Henry N.

What’s your problem with Irish-Laotian cuisine, dude? Are you telling me I can’t have Khao Soi with bangers and mash? Where is the bigotry in any of that? You need to make use of some type of comprehension focused method.

Tyler T

Adrien Brody’s the dude!

Tyler T

I intended this phrase”Messalong boboodle" as a playful, whimsical mix of cultural references, much like your silly jumbled mix of facts and fictions, n' disregarding the rules of grammar and syntax. It was not meant to be derogatory or offensive to any particular group in the global south, or Western Europe. You really need some phonics first before tackling heavy concepts, such as racism cause it appears you don’t understand what that is. "Irish" you a berry Navidad

Tyler T

If you want more movies set during World War 2- The Pianist (2002) Jojo Rabbit (2019) The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008) Sophie's Choice (1982) The Book Thief (2013)

S M

“Irish” you were smarter 😌

Tyler T

You’re a real cynical guy. “Irish” you can learn to be heppi 👉👈 🥹

Tyler T

You need to take that back. I love Laotian-Irish food, What’s your problem? There’s nothing in that body of text that can be said to be racist. I’ve been married eight years to my lovely wife from Changde shi, Hunan Province. 😭

Tyler T

(Apostrophe in “let’s”, by the way).

Duncan

Now honestly, what is your problem? For me the matter was settled days ago. If you hadn't tried to farm this gotcha moment, nobody would have paid much attention to our conversation. I myself had already forgotten about it. Regarding your accusation that I am a hipocrat. My criticism of your comment (Kingdom of Heaven) was not directed at you or your views. It was meant in general. I would appreciate it, if the comments were more about the movie and the reaction and that people didn't bring up unrelated topics. I know I can't force anyone to do it, it's not my channel, but I thought I'd just say it in that moment. I didn't know that it affected you so much. As you can see my comment relates to the movie. So maybe I'm not a hipocrat after all.😉 So if you don't understand now then I don't care. This is the last time I'll respond to it. I wish you would reconsider your behavior. Have a good day.

Digitalversager

Holy hell what a film. I'm surprised I'd never caught any of it before but I'm so glad I watched it. A funny and romantic first half in gorgeous Italy, then that devastatingly bitter-sweet portrayal of such an atrocity.

Patrick

Watching vietnamese girls react in english to an italian movie about jews lol

Joe Laster

This movie is always hard for me to watch. As a father, I always ask myself if I could even endure such a situation. Roberto Benigni's performance as the desperate father Guido who tries to protect his son from the harsh reality of the concentration camp is simply heartbreaking. He definitely deserves the Oscar he got for his performance. It was really hard to see you crying like that, especially Katie, for whom this seems to be the first time she has been introduced to the topic of the Holocaust. Great reaction ladies!💜

Digitalversager

I'm too lazy for 2 hours of subtitles today.

Paul De'Armond

I don't have the words... I just hope that one day, if I find myself in an impossible situation, I'll have the strength that Guido had.

Proto Type

Such a bizarre statement. Based on your comments earlier, I thought you were just someone who was against the massacre of the people of Gaza, which is perfectly justified. Now it's clear you're just a blatant antisemite lol. My grandparents and their entire family were murdered in the camps. Sit safely behind your screen and mock their suffering. You shame yourself as well as the people being massacred in Gaza with your ignorance and hate. Come and See... The Ascent...there are plenty of far more horrific films that don't focus on the atrocities committed against Jews. Interesting how a film about universal compassion and the resilience of the human spirit has you spinning conspiracy theories. Maybe try engaging with the actual message of the movie next time—sympathy isn’t a zero-sum game, no matter who’s experiencing it.

Henry N.

Jo Jo Rabbit is another great movie that kicks you right in the fucking teeth.

Steven Roy

Another non-political movie lets see if the complainers are consistant and start having a go? I dought it, its the jews and only they are allowed to have simpathy

Imperial Mort

I remember when this movie came out but this is my first time seeing it. The contrast from before and after the fascist take over of Italy is stark. The slow roll of the dehumanization of the Jewish people is frightening. The story is different but the tone is similar to Jo Jo Rabbit which it think is another great film depicting this horrible time in history.

colin summers

This is one of my favorite movies and yet my heart sank when I saw that you had watched it. I suppose congratulations are in order because I don't think that there is a more emotionally devastating movie in existence than this one.

Joel Purvis

This movie never vibed with me.

Manospondylus

This really is a lovely movie. One of the more loveable characters you can find, which really puts into stark contrast the horrors of war. Great story about sacrifice and the unyielding love between parent and child in the face of tragedy. I commend you for watching it in the original language with subtitles! There is an English dub as well, although I haven't watched it in that format.

Brandon

Me too 👍🏻

Duncan

Somehow this one has completely slipped by me all these years; I knew nothing of it.

S_Vive

Wow it’s been a while since I’ve seen this movie! I’m glad you guys got to experience this beautiful film :)
